DARREN'S POV

Rupert found another witch. For years, he worked for me as my runner. He's my trusted friend. His mother has served our family for as long as I can remember. She stands as my second mother. They know about my curse, and Rupert helped me track down shamans and witches to help me find a cure. Though sometimes I feel like what we are doing doesn't make sense anymore.
