Before Darius woke up, Sule had sent out a notice to all members of King Cyrus’s inner circle. They were to gather in the meeting room immediately.

The chief priest and three of his witch doctors were also summoned.

There was to be an emergency meeting because alpha Cyrus’s second son, Lucius had returned.

The inner-circle had to decide on their choice of a leader.

Before Lucius showed up, the throne was going to pass to Darius by default, since he was the only surviving son of king Cyrus. This was before Lucius showed up.
