I watched as Daniel's expression shifted from relaxed to tense in an instant. He stood up abruptly, his chair scraping loudly against the floor of the restaurant. I opened my eyes to hearing the faint rhythmic sound of a machine. I noticed that I was in a hospital, with machines attached to me. I heard and I knew who it was before I even saw him. Alpha Leonard walked in with a calm and collected demeanor, as if he didn't have a care in the world.
