Both the alphas chorused in unison. Caleb flinched a bit at the way both of them spoke in their commanding voices but tried his best to answer, they weren’t going to let him free either way and it looked like he didn't have the luxury of going back to his previous boss as well.

Dominic took her to his home despite her saying over and over that she was fine. He immediately called Freyge and asked him to get all the medications possible to help her feel better. Thus, only fifteen minutes later, they were all sitting in the wide-open hall of his mansion while Freyge was pulling out a dozen vials and bottles to give her a potion. While Freyge had gone to collect herbs and potions for the alpha’s journey to the Burham mountains, Valencia had gone to pack some stuff in a duffel bag. She didn't have much to pack though, only two sets of clean clothes, a pair of daggers, and she was done. Dominic didn't even bother carrying clothes and he just wore a long jacket with loads of pockets that he stuffed with daggers, and the potions Freyge had got for him. Normally, they would just transform back into their human forms with their clothes intact, a blessing given by the moon goddess to make them feel less awkward if they were around other werewolves. Despite all his protests, Valencia didn’t bat an eyelid and Dominic had no other option but to follow her. As it was dark, Valencia took advantage of the fact and drove towards the nearest station and filled up the tank to the full. They hadn’t moved in the last few minutes and awkward silence was around them once again. Thus, Dominic cleared his throat and asked her, “Are you…okay?” Valencia nodded her head and pulled her hair away from his face. “I knew it” The archon had said with an excited voice but it got drowned amongst the ruckus caused by the other hycwens that she hadn’t seen earlier. They had reached a deeper part of the forest or someplace they couldn't quite put their fingers on. There was a clearing in the middle and large tree stumps were placed in a circle where most of the hycwens were seated apparently arguing over something. The hycwen carrying the rope trap in which Valencia and Dominic were present dumped it unceremoniously on the ground, sending them crashing into soil and gravel once again.
