The werewolves looked at each other skeptically, nobody uttered a word as the hall had gone eerily silent. Valencia looked alarmed. Of course, she didn’t believe that Dominic would do such a thing. But now was not the time to give friendship a priority.
She asked in an edgy voice, “I thought you could do better, Dominic.”
Dominic met her eyes with a steely gaze. She knew he wouldn’t speak unless she made him respond to her. He was prideful in that way.
He smiled unnervingly, “So, I see the archon alpha has come to a conclusion. I guess the verdict is out.”
