Abram and Nate’s beasts broke out into the clearing as they sprinted towards the wooden log Alexa perched on. Abram pounced in mid-air landing next to Alexa taking her hand as he let out a loud roar of victory, making her chuckle.
Nate grunted in displeasure. “Alexa, he was supposed to run not pounce. He violated the rule.”
“Well, you didn’t add that to our rule book earlier,” Abram replied with a shrug of his huge shoulders. Since they found they could speak to each other through mind link, they were using it to their advantage, especially in playing pranks.
“What?! I–uh… Ugh! I hate you, Abram.”
“No, you don’t.”
“I do.”
“You don’t."
