Iliana walked into Clara's room and she dropped her bag on the bed. She left the room and walked down the passage that led to her parents' former room. After walking down for a while, she stopped in front of one of the walls.
On this wall, a huge painting hung. Moving her hands upwards, she pressed on a button on the painting's frame and the painting moved upwards revealing a brick wall behind it. She pushed one of the bricks on the wall and the wall opened to reveal a door. Typing in the passcode, the door opened to reveal a dark room. Stepping in, the door closed behind her, the brick wall took its place and the painting slid back down.
Iliana discovered this hidden room when she was six years old. She had told her parents about it and they told her it was for security purpose. Therefore, it became a training spot for Iliana whenever Clara trained her.
She looked around the dark room, her pupils adjusting to the darkness around her. Moving to the centre of the room, she spotted what she was looking for. Curling her fingers into a fist, she hit the punching bag in front of her with all her might.
Remembering the events of the day, she made each punch harder than the previous. She kept on hitting the bag even when the handkerchief around her hand started getting soaked in blood again. She heard the door opening and glancing at the direction of the door, she continued her punching without a stop.
"Reveal yourself." She said calmly.
Suddenly the lights came on to reveal a feminine figure.
"Iliana, I knew you would be here."
Walking closer, she saw Iliana's hand and grabbing her hands off the bag, she opened her palms and untied the handkerchief to reveal bloody cuts on her hands.
"Goodness! Iliana, what are you doing to yourself?"
She went to the bathroom and grabbed a disinfectant to clean the wound and wrapped it up with a bandage from the first aid box that was in the bathroom.
All the while, Iliana remained motionless and her eyes without focus.
"Iliana! Iliana! What happened this time?"
Instead of answering her question, Iliana collapsed into her arms and a worried Clara hugged her while stroking her back.
"What happened Iliana? Please talk to me dear."
"I am tired Clara. How long do I have to wait for all of this to be over? I am fed up of being a slave in my own house. I am tired of behaving like a naive idiot in front of my aunt and uncle. I am tired of working so hard everyday and having someone ruining it. I...I..a..am...."
Interrupting her rambling, Clara said, "Iliana, we still need to be patient. If we do anything now, all the preparation for our plan for the past five years will go down the drain. You need to get stronger than you already are. It's just for a matter of time Iliana, everything will be fine soon."
"I played with my knife today." Iliana said with a mischievous smile on her tear-stained face.
"Hmm, I did teach you well. So tell me, what happened?"
"Well, that foolish, slimy old man touched me and I just pricked him with the knife a little bit." Iliana said satisfactorily.
"Are you sure it was just a prick?"
"Hehehe, let's forget that, but I did gain something. I will always get paid now."
"Mn, very good."
"Iliana?"
"Hm?"
"Where is your necklace?"
"It is right......uhn? Where is it? It must be here somewhere. Maybe it fell down."
After searching the whole place for it, they still couldn't find it.
"Clara, I really need to find that necklace. My mum told me to always wear it. Even though the last time she said it, it was just a dream, when I was six, my father told me to never take it off, and now..no.. now, I need to find it."
"Iliana, calm down. We will find it okay? Let's go back now. It might be in my room."
Putting off the light, they stepped out of the room and returned to Clara's room. After searching the room for five hours, there was still no sign of the necklace.
"My necklace is gone! The only thing I had to remind me of them is gone Aunt Barbie. They are gone now. They aren't with me anymore."
"Of course not Lia. They are always with you. In your dreams, in your heart and in your mind. That necklace doesn't determine whether they are with you or not. You have been working for a very long time, come here."
Iliana moved closer to her and Clara after cleaning her tears, held her face in her hands saying, "Iliana, for us to succeed in our plans, you need to be stronger than this. We need to find those papers very soon. The earlier we find it, the better. We need to show the world that there is a hidden gem in the Williams' mansion."
"Yes Clara. I will become stronger. I promise to control my emotions from now on. But what about the necklace?"
"We will find the necklace soon. We will, now go to sleep." Clara said patting her to sleep.

"My Goodness!! What happened to your arm?" A woman said rushing out to help her husband with his bag.
Breathing nervously, he replied, "It is nothing honey. I bought you a new phone, roses and a new dress for our anniversary. On my way back to the car, some goons attacked me and tried to steal the gift package from me. I struggled with them and got stabbed but they still stole everything."
"Oh dear! You shouldn't have gone through that much stress. Don't worry, the fact that you wanted to buy me something is enough for me. I am just glad that you are okay. You should have just let them have it."
"Of course not, I bought it specially for you and now it is gone." The man said looking regretful.
"It is okay as long as you are fine. Common let's go inside."
"Yes dear."
'Foolish woman, I can't believe she believed such a far-fetched story. I didn't even remember today was our anniversary till my phone's calendar reminded me. Thank goodness I am safe. Now I just have to deal with that foolish girl.' The man thought to himself while smiling.
The next morning, Iliana and Clara were awakened by Melina's yells. "Dad, mum, we've been invited to the Harrison Heritage Hotel for a masquerade ball!" "Oh my goodness! That's fantastic. We may be able to form a marriage alliance with the Harrison family as a result of this. I heard they have a capable successor already." Juliana smiled as she walked down the staircase. "The Harrisons, on the other hand, are seldom seen in the limelight. But, in any case, chances only come around once. This is your chance to shine, my dear girl." Mark said as Juliana sat beside him. "If we ever hope to form a marriage alliance with the Harrisons, I need to impress them, particularly, the heir. The function is this evening. As a result, I have less time to plan. I need to get started right away." "Don't be worried, my dear daughter. Your mother is always willing to assist you in every way she can. Right?" "Of course" Juliana affirmed while leading Meli
I walked out of Mark's room and down the passage. On my way back, the guards around were looking at me with awe as usual. Ignoring them, I walked further down into the passage until I got to my room. Sitting on a chair, close to the window, I looked out at the dark skies. The wind blew gently across my face. Closing my eyes, I allowed memories of my past flash through my head. The feelings burning deep within me were too much to bear and I just could not hold it in any longer. A sharp pain from my eyes spread throughout my head and I knew I was about to get a migraine. A tear drop rolled down my face as I remembered my master and how he tried his best to protect me. "I can't believe I failed my mission. How did this happen? How?! How did I end up at the mercy of a man?" "He....th...that stu..pid man! He even had the guts to touch my hair. How da...re he!? How dare......" Unable to complete my statement, I dropped my face into my hands. "And he even ha
Clara entered her room and found Iliana trying to get into the gown by herself. "Iliana, do you need help?" "Yes!" "Fine, there and there....yes, it is done. Now your hair is next." "I can do that by myself Clara, focus on yourself for once." "Fine, fine." Clara said raising her both hands in defeat. She showered and changed into her gown as well. By this time, Iliana was through with her hair and was wearing the necklace that came alongside her dress. She slipped into her shoes and sat down at the dressing table. Applying a red lipstick and some mascara she stood up and turned back as Clara gasped at the sight of her. "Oh my God! Iliana!, you look like a nightmare dressed like a daydream. The dress really does look like it was made specially for you..." "Thanks Clara, you look beautiful as well." Iliana said looking at Clara's dress. Clara looked down at the dresser and applied her favorite lip gloss. Facing I
Clara and I entered the hotel which was filled with people mostly females in glamorous looking dresses probably hoping to catch the eye of some rich handsome gigolo as I'd like to call them or to win the heart of some rich family's heir. Some elderly people were present as well, perhaps, they were there to find a prospective suitor for their daughters or a suitable wife materialfor their sons. The waiters, dressed in their white and black uniforms were moving around with empty trays which I assume must have been filled with drinks that they had already handed out to the people around. We were walking down the stairs when the whole room suddenly went quiet only to be filled with whispers few minutes later."Oh my God! Look at the dresses those ladies are wearing. It looks so unique, I'm sure it wasn't made by a petty designer." A woman said to another."Wow! John, look at those pretty dresses, if only you could afford to buy me something that beauti
I could not believe it. The person I had waited for so long to see was finally here. His facial features were extremely enchanting and I could have sworn that my heart stopped beating for a minute there. The fact that his face was concealed behind a mask didn't diminish his charm but only added a mysterious aura to him. He made all the females around feel intrigued and mesmerized while the males around felt envious because they could not look that exquisite. Just one glance at his grenadine eyes and you are bedazzled, two glances and you are completely hypnotized. I was very sure that most of the men present here would actually become bent just for him. His beauty was completely out of this world. All the female socialites around me were stunned as they all had dreamy looks on their faces. A sudden wave of possessiveness swept over me as I felt like scooping their eyes off. 'Those filthy girls, how dare they stare at what is mine?' A voice at the end
I went outsideJust as I said I would last nightYou promised you would be thereBut you weren't there.I passed time staring at the skiesIt was beautifulJust like your eyesThe wind blew across my faceAnd I shivered at the contactA sudden cold spreading through meBut I still stood waitingwith a strong sense of determinationI laid on the grassHoping you would come soonTo make me warm againBut you never came.It is morning nowAnd just like the night passed awayMy heart died as well.**************************************************After he left, Clara came over and whispered into Iliana's ears."Iliana, we have to leave now. Iliana tried to shield her eyes from the morning sun with her palm. She abruptly lifted her upper body and glanced at the clock. It was 7:00am and she was scheduled to be at work for the morning shift soon. When a sudden wave of nausea and pain from her forehead hit her, she had to get up. She jumped to her feet and dashed to the restroom. Clara had been awakened by the commotion and was looking at Iliana with a grin on her face."Precaution 1: Keep Iliana away from that which starts with an A.""What do you mean, Clara?""A for alcohol, stupid. Take a good look at yourself. Are you able to recall anything that happened last night at all?""Of course, I do. We went to the ball, and then I...I..we....he... look I can't do this right now. I have a severe headache.""All right, take this." She said while stretching her opened her palm to show the pills inside."Thank you," Iliana said as she drank some water and swallowed the tablets.
In a secret military base, "Welcome Major General, how was your trip?" Sergeant Mello who was standing at the entrance of the General's quarters asked. "Get Sergeant Matilda here and David right now" "Actually, Sergeant Matilda is still on a mission and Sergeant David had to go with five hundred soldiers to support them as we hadn't heard from them in a few days since they left. We've tried tracking their locations with the tracker in Sergeant Matilda, but the GPS keeps saying it can't recognize their location. We do not know when they will return and it seems the Hantils had anticipated our attack." "Mn. Get me my laptop.""Yes Major General." His fingers flew across the keyboard and after a few seconds, a gruesome scene appeared on the screen. On the screen, a thick forest could be seen, as men in yellow and black shirts holding sophisticated guns were walking to and fro while some things that looked like human beings could b
