*Lotus POV*

Seth's face broke into a wide grin, and I couldn't help but feel a shiver of disgust run down my spine. This man was happy to hear that I was healthy, not because he cared about me, but because I was now useful to him.

But the smile quickly faded from Seth's face when he saw the sadness in my eyes. "What's wrong?" he asked, his tone harsh.

I hesitated for a moment before responding. "I'm not happy about this, Seth. I don't want to carry your child."

Seth's expression hardened, and I braced myself for his anger. But instead of lashing out, he simply shrugged. "It doesn't matter if you're happy about it or not. You're going to do it."
