The night was dark and stormy, with thick clouds obscuring the moon and stars. The wind howled through the trees, sending leaves and branches flying in all directions. The rain poured down in sheets, drenching me to the bone within seconds. I ran as fast as I could, my heart pounding in my chest with fear.
