Christopher's POV

We pulled in front of the bar and got out. The place definitely lived up to its name for being a shady bar.

It was right out of the movies. We went in together and both stuck out like a sore thumb.

People looked as we made our way to the front.

The bar reeked of stale beer and body odor. That thick, heavy musk was killing my vampire senses.

it was kind of place where everyone had a secret they’d rather die than see brought to light. Abusers of all kind were here. They frequented here to keep their minds away from guilt of their deeds and to mingle with other degenerates.

It was the perfect place for a meal.

Dante and I slid into a booth, and he reached for my hand almost immediately. He signaled to the bartender and ordered drinks with that sexy grace he had about him, not caring about the watching eyes of the people.

As the bartender left, he squeezed my hand.

“Are you nervous?” he asked, and I rolled my eyes.
