I feel weird as I drive up to Luca’s house. I am not sure if I was ready for this or not. Luca came over last night and told me about meeting with several council members. They had congratulated him on finding me. I guess vampires finding their beloveds are even rarer than a werewolf finding their mate. I did ask why, and Luca explained that since vampires live so long, the chance of them finding their beloved is low. It does make sense, but it is also sad at the same time. He told me that most vampires choose their beloved. I understand why everyone was so thrilled when Luca found me. I asked Dad if he was ok with all of this. He told me that he always felt I would have a supernatural for a mate. He told me he couldn’t explain why he felt like this but always knew this would happen. I don’t think he figured it would be a vampire and the vampire king. I pulled into the driveway and parked beside Luca’s car. Avalon will be up here tomorrow. She has a few classes today. I
