Luca

I have been here a week, and I want more than nothing to go home and see Sienna.  I have not talked with her since that day I left in such a hurry.  I was going to call, but we had found a bug implanted within my phone, and I didn’t want them to know she existed yet.  I don’t want whoever this is hurting her in any way to get to me.  I will kill anyone who touches her.  Viktor says that she is doing well.  I wasn’t too happy to hear she went to a college party.  However, Andre told me that he was there and that Sienna and the guys who threw the party are good friends, and they treat her like a little sister.  That made me feel slightly better.  I knew Andre was looking out for her as well.  I am thankful they were friends before I discovered she was my beloved.  After the king told me everything he had learned from Yesaria, I contacted the fae king and asked him to speak with his daughter.  He told me he would talk with her and have her call me if she would meet.  She called me the next day, and we spoke.  I am meeting her tonight but must meet with her in the fae realm.  I was more than okay with that, and she said she would meet me at the realm's edge so she could permit me to enter their realm.  No one can enter their realm without their permission.  I understand this, and now I find myself waiting for her.

“King Luca?”  A feminine voice asks quietly.

I turn around, and there stands a beautiful woman.  She is not as gorgeous as my Sienna, but beautiful nonetheless.  She is tall, around 5’8”, with long platinum, almost white-colored hair, and dark blue eyes.  Her pale skin makes her eyes stand out.

“Yes, you must be Yesaria.”  I state.

“Yes, please come with me.  I don’t like being at the edge of the realm to long.”  She comments.

She is very nervous, and I watch as she looks around as if someone might jump out and grab her.  I grab her hand and quickly step into the fae realm.  It takes a few seconds for my eyes to adjust to the brightness of their realm.  I have been here once, but that was well over a hundred years ago.  I follow her deep into the fae city.  I can feel the eyes of everyone who we pass staring at me.  I am sure they don’t have many visitors to their realm.  I follow her into a building that apparently is a restaurant.

“I own this place so I know it is safe to talk here.”  She tells me.

“Ok,”  I reply.

She tells me to order whatever I want, so I order something to drink.  I am not really hungry.  She orders a drink and an appetizer as well.  I can tell she is nervous.

“There is no need to be nervous.  The king told me what you told him, and I was hoping that maybe you had more that you could tell me about the princess's human husband.”  I say.

“I only met him twice.  Once, I put the glamour on him and again when Eynnia had me place a glamour on her daughter so no one would know she existed.  He was very nice both times and thanked me over and over again for helping them out.”  Yesaria explains.

“I went to the last town and known address where he lived.  No one in the town could recall ever seeing a woman or a child with him or at his house.”  I point out.

“That was part of the glamour.  No one would see the princess as soon as she crossed the city limits.  Same with the daughter after she was born.  They wanted to keep her safe.  Eynnia knew that someone was after her, and she watched them follow her to the town.  I was there when they showed up, and they were extremely pissed that she disappeared right in front of them as soon as they crossed the city limits.  Eynnia never came and went the exact same way each time, and she would always take a different vehicle or walk across into the town.”  Yesaria adds.

“Would the glamour still be in place if they were to have moved to a new city and state?”  I ask.

“No, as soon as he and the child were to leave the town, the glamour would fade away.  It might take a day or up to a week, but it would be completely gone after a week.  I have not seen him since the day I placed the glamour on the child.”  Yesaria tells me.

“If I were to show you a picture of who I think might be the dead princess’s husband would you recognize him?”  I ask.

“Maybe, but I must remind you it has been close to 20 years since I have seen him so I can’t promise anything.”  Yesaria points out.

I pull my phone out and show her a picture of William.  She says he looks familiar and thinks it might be him, but she can’t say if William is Eynnia’s husband.  She does tell me that she remembers him having dark blonde hair.  I ask about the child.  All she could tell me was that the child was a girl.

“When I saw her, she must have been around a month old, and she had no hair at that time.  I remember her eyes being a stunning emerald green, just like Eynnia’s.  There was something weird about the child.”  Yesaria says.

“What do you mean?”  I ask.

“Even though she was only a month or so old, I could feel the power coming from her.  She did not carry the scent of a vampire but that of a human, but I swear she had power like a vampire would, especially from a royal.”  Yesaria explains.

At least I am not the only one who feels it.  Yesaria is right when she says that Sienna smells human.  There is something about her that is different, though.

“I will tell you that whoever was following Eynnia is also the one that was responsible for her accident.  I was there both times, and I saw two of the same people.  I saw her accident happen and I will tell you that it was no accident.”  Yesaria states.

She shows me pictures of the two guys, and I recognize one, but I don’t recognize the other.  I am positive now that Cavallo is involved in his sister’s death.  The one guy is Cavallo’s second-in-command and best friend.  His name is Donatello.  I am not sure why Cavallo chose him.  He comes from a family known to start uprisings.  That family has never been trusted, and his majesty finally banished the family from the kingdom years ago.  I know that they were never able to join another coven.  No vampire wants to associate themselves with that family.  I have Yesaria forward the pictures to me.  I immediately send them to Rico and tell him to show Denver.  He says that he is meeting Denver tomorrow and will show him the pictures.  Yesaria says that this is why she rarely leaves the fae realm now.  She found out that one of the guys had seen her and they were trying to find her.  I tell her she has nothing to worry about and that I will make damn sure that nothing happens to her.  She takes me back to where we crossed into the fae realm, and I tell her I will let her know what I find out.

(I need you to find me a picture of William when he was younger.-Me)

(Ok, why?-Rico)

(I just spoke with her, and she said that she remembers the husband having dark blond hair.-Me)

(William’s hair is black.  I don’t remember him ever having light- hair.-Rico)

(I know.  Glamour was used for an extended period of time.  I am not sure if that would alter someone’s hair color or not.-Me)

(I will find a picture of him.  I will also ask Denver what side effects using glamour for so long would cause.  Be careful when you come back.  If Cavallo is responsible for this shit, he has suddenly dropped off the face of the planet.  No one has seen or heard from him in a month.  I am sure he has people watching his parents, and I am sure he has people watching you as well.-Rico)

(Thanks for the warning, and I will watch my back.  I will try and leave tomorrow, but I won’t be leaving till Friday at the earliest.  How Is Sienna?-Me)

(She is fine.  I have had a few people watching her, and Andre has not noticed anyone slinking around the school that shouldn’t be there.  If she is genuinely the princess’s daughter, then no one has any idea she exists, which works to our advantage.-Rico)

(Good, I want to keep it that way.  As soon as I am back, we will be talking with William.-Me)

(Of course.-Rico)

I head back to the castle to get some rest.  I run into Liam.  I can tell that all of this has hit him hard.  He was not overly close to Cavallo, but he was close to Eynnia.  He asks me to come to his room.

“What is your feeling about all of this?”  I ask.

“Honestly, I think that Cavallo is behind this, and I do think he was involved in my sister's accident.  I don’t think he meant for her to die, though.”  Liam answers.

“Why is that?”  I ask.

“He and I may not have gotten along, but the two of us doted on her.  He carried her around everywhere until dad forced him to make her walk.  That was when she was damn near five years old.  I think that Eynnia found out that he was responsible and was going to tell mom and dad.  I think he wanted her daughter, but I am not sure why he wanted the child.  I think he was trying to kidnap Eynnia so he could find out where he hid my niece.  When she wouldn’t tell them where she was, I think something happened, and she was killed unintentionally, and they made it look like an accident.”  Liam explained.

I tell him what Yesaria told me, and he agrees that the accident was not an accident and that Eynnia was probably already dead when it happened.  I told him I was still looking into a few things and would keep him updated.

An eerie feeling swept over me as I exited the car and walked to the plane.  I had a few guards from the castle with me, and I could tell they felt that something was also off.  I was just about to climb the stairs onto the plane when the first bullet hit me in the arm.  It stung like a bitch, and I saw several people running toward us.  The guards tried pushing me onto the plane as the hunters attacked us.  I could hear several more cars coming in the distance.  I am sure one of the guards alerted the king to what was happening.

“You need to get on the plane.”  One of the guards yelled.

“I am not leaving you to fight these assholes alone.”  I yell back.

I dig the bullet out of my arm and continue to fight. Hunters soon surround us, and I see at least two guards on the ground.  They aren’t dead, but they are poorly wounded.  I feel something else hit me, and I see my shirt starting to turn color.  I started feeling weak when someone grabbed me and carried me onto the plane.  I could hear someone yelling at the pilot to get the damn plane off the ground.  I looked up to see a flash of white hair.

“Don’t worry you will make it back to your family and beloved.”  A woman’s voice says.

I could feel myself sliding in and out of consciousness as the woman did something to slow the bleeding.  I felt something prick my arm, and I knew nothing after that.

“Where am I ?”  I slur.

“You are home and in the hospital.”  Rico states.

I see my family, Rico, and Viktor, standing there.  I can see someone off to my side, and I recognize William.  He seems to be looking at something on another bed.

“What happened after I landed and how did I make it here in one piece?”  I asked.

“Yesaria was coming to see you before you left and happened upon the attack.  She is the one who got you onto the plane and kept you alive until you got here.”  Mom answers.

I look over and see her sitting there, and I tell her how much I appreciate everything she has done for me.  I let out a growl when I see William stand up and who is lying on the bed.  My Sienna is lying on the bed, looking too pale for my liking.

“Who did this to her?”  I hiss.

“No one.  She was there when Viktor came in and told us about the attack.  She became pale, grabbed her chest, and fainted.  I am positive she felt your pain and the strain on the bond caused her to pass out.”  Dad explains.

I look over at her.  She might be fighting it, but her body and soul know we are meant to be together.  This proves it.  I hate that my pain affected her, but it does make sense.  Andre helps me sit up, and I gingerly walk over to her.  I sit down and lean against the back of the bed.  I pull her against me laying her head on my chest.  She moves a little, and I see some color returning to her face.  I close my eyes, enjoying having her so close to me.
