LOGINThe two men stared at me and I stared right back at them with a blank expression. How were they expecting me to react after all the bullshit they just spurted out of their mouths?
Vampire Kingdom?! Supernatural world?! Human slave?!
Ha! Is this a fucking prank or what?
I forced out a laugh trying to make them think that what they said was funny. At this point I would do anything to get away from these lunatic creeps.
"That was very funny guys. Thanks again for saving my life. I really need to go home, bye!"
"You can't leave!" Nice guy spoke quickly before I could make a run for it. "First of all you're a human. Its dangerous for you to walk around without a master. Secondly, the shadow monsters are still lurking around. The safest option is to come with us."
"Should you be telling her that in such sweet tone Lysander? A human should be treated as a slave. If we cannot harm her and drain her ourselves, then we should be dragging her to the palace before the prince, not negotiating with her." You could tell who said that. It's Linus the dick!
Lysander ignored him and continue to speak to me. "Come with us Kate. I assure you, you will be safer under our care than alone. If the shadow monsters doesn't kill you, then another vampire will for sure."
He sounded so convincing that I almost wanted to believe the nonsense he was saying. But he is right. The woods is dangerous and they just saved me from that strange animal. It's only right that I go with them.
"Okay," I agreed. "But you must help me find my way home after this."
Linus scoffed, but Lysander replied kindly. "Of course Kate. Now, come with us."
They walked ahead of me and I followed slowly behind them. If they make any move to harm me, I will blot away before they even realize it.
I just hope I'm making the right decision.

The men had their car parked in the middle of the road. It was an old black Benz that was common in the 19th century. Once we were out of the woods, the moon glowed brighter and I was finally able to see the two men properly.
They were both tall, I would say exactly six foot tall. I was staring up at them and I had to strain my neck a little too much.
Also, they were both extraordinarily handsome. The one who I assumed was Linus had his charcoal black hair jelled back in a smooth style. His face was a scowl like he was displeased at the world, and his skin was just like the color of the moon. Too pale to be normal.
Lysander was also very handsome. Even more handsome than Linus. His black hair was long and fell a little past his shoulder. His face was warm and kind and his skin was also very pale.
They both wore matching black suits and silk expensive looking shoes. I was starting to doubt about these two men identities. They look too proper to be lunatics.
Lysander opened the back door of the car for me. "Get in Kate."
I gave them both wary looks. I was starting to find this very creepy. Who are these men? Were they kidnappers? Am I making the right decision in choosing to go with them?
I looked around me. The streets were completely empty. Not a single vehicle or person in sight. Even though I scream for help, no one is going to hear me or come help me.
If I run would they be able to catch me?
I decided not to over think this. I should just go with them and hope that they are not bad people. I really don't want to go through the hassle of being chased again.
Gulping down my nerves, I got into the back seat of the car. Linus has already settled in the driver seat, and Lysander took the passenger seat, so we were off to the world unknown.
We drove through dark streets, not even a single street light was in sight. The only source of light was from the glow of the moon.
This is strange. There are street lights on the streets of Los Angeles? Could this be a different city? Did I somehow get lost in another town, or maybe that old woman took me to a different town!
Shit! What the hell is really going on?
An hour later, we arrived at an old mansion hidden behind a huge black barred gate. The gates slide open when the car drove closer, and we drove into the compound.
The mansion was huge and the windows were lit up giving the place an enchanting glow. There was a strange sculpture of an old man wearing a cape in the middle of the compound. It was the first thing my eyes noticed when I stepped out of the car.
"Come with us," Lysander said to me. They walked ahead of me and I followed once again. My heart beating with every step I took towards the front door.
The big oak doors opened for us and we walked into a big wide living room. Different people swam around the places in black clothes. Some were seated conversing and sipping on red wine, while others stood in groups talking.
I frowned when I saw a particular group seated on armchairs and a woman and a man were on their knees beside them wearing collar chains on their neck like dogs, and some others were serving red wines with the same collar chains on their neck.
Um, what the hell!
The minute we stepped in however, all eyes fell on me like they all immediately sensed my presence.
They all had something in common. Their eyes were glowing red and their skin was as white as snow like that of a vampire; the ones I see in movies.
What the hell is going on?!
Were Linus and Lysander telling the truth?
"Come!" Lysander spoke again when he noticed that I had stopped walking and was looking around me in astonishment.
I followed them up the wide stairs making sure to stick close to Lysander. I could feel the eyes of the people on me. It was like they were predators studying a new prey, admiring a new toy, like they were about to pounce any seconds.
Wait, are they actually vampires or is this some kind of cult to worship vampires or something? What's with the collar chains anyway?
We walked down a few corridors until we stopped at a big door. The door opened on its own--doors do that a lot around here--and we walked into the big hall.
My breath hitched when I saw how beautiful this room is. The floors were marble and sparking and there were pillars scattered all over the place. There was an aisle that lead us towards an alter or more like a throne.
Seated on the said throne was...
My eyes widened in shock. What the hell is Domenic Darkshadow doing there on a fucking throne?!
Wait! Have I being captured and brought to the Mafia organization? Is this the Russian Mafia Domenic Darkshadow rules? That makes a lot more sense.
Domenic's green eyes fell on me and I felt my breath hitched. His expression was a scowl and he sat on his throne wearing the aura of a king who knows his worth. He was wearing a white button up and loose pants and his dark eyes were on me.
Does he recognize me?
"Your Majesty!" Linus and Lysander bowed their heads to him.
I gulped in discomfort. Am I really in the Russian Mafia territory? But what's with the royal endearment towards Domenic?
"You're back earlier than expected Lysander." His voice like a command broke through the room sending shivers down my spine. It was just like I remembered. Sexy, deep and fucking hot!
"We encountered a bit of a situation in the woods your Majesty." Lysander held my arm and pulled me forward for all eyes to see. I noticed two men and a woman seated on smaller seats around Domenic's throne all dressed in black. "We found this human girl alone in the woods without a master and decided to bring her to you."
Silence filled the hall and all that was heard was the sound of my heart thudding against my rib cage. I hope this prick remembers that I saved him.
"Interesting. She smells different." Domenic pointed out as his green eyes glowed in hunger.
"True," one of the men around him agreed licking his lips in delight. "I can barely sit still."
"It's hard to control myself right now!" Said the other. His red eyes glowed and I caught a glimpse of fangs when he also licked his lips.
I gasped in shock and fear stumbling back. Linus harshly pushed me forward.
My eyes were wide and terrified. I couldn't stop looking at the man with the fangs.
Are they real?!
"I want her!" He growled.
No thank you sir! Not with those scary fangs!
"You must calm down Orion. We do not know who she is yet and why she smells so amazing." Domenic said, his eyes still on me.
I glared at the fucker. They might not know who I am but he does!
"But your highness, she is nothing but a mere human. A slave!" The other guy added. "I will pay a fortune for her! Her blood is probably the sweetest thing ever."
"I will pay much more than a fortune your highness! Give her to me!" Orion argued desperately.
"I am in no position to give her to you." Domenic told them firmly, "my father alone has the right to decide what happens to this strange human who has appeared out of nowhere, and you all know he is sick. Until he recovers from his illness, this human girl will be under my care and no one is to lay a finger on her without my consent. Is that understood?!"
They groaned underneath their breaths in displeasure, but no one dared to openly disagree.
Seeing no argument, Domenic ordered. "Take her to her room Lysander, and let her await her fate."
I woke up with a pounding headache and sat up in my bed with a groan. I pried my eyes open with an effort and looked round me. I found that I was in my room. How the hell did I get here?I cracked my brain trying to recall what happened last night. I had a few drinks with my friends, I came back home a little drunk, I blurted to Ashely that I found her strange. What the hell?! I told Ashely that I found her strange!Fuck! It wasn't my intention to say it to her that way. I wanted to ask her about her life and background in a proper way, not in my drunken way.But I guess I can always make things right. That morning, she was already awake when I stepped into the kitchen. The smell of breakfast filled the apartment. Eggs and toast.Hold on a second, did Ashely cook? She hated cooking and she almost burnt down my kitchen when she tried last time.I was relieved to see that my kitchen was fine. But I was still in shock that Ashely is cooking. "What are you doing?"She wasn't surprised at
CAMILLE'S POV.I sat quietly in the living room of Josh’s apartment, the soft hum of the refrigerator, and the faint ticking of the wall clock the only sounds accompanying my thoughts. The human world was still new to me, yet somehow, sitting here felt… safe.Because it was his home.Josh. What a lovely name for a kind hearted and gentle human.I let my fingers trace the edge of the couch as I allowed myself to think about him again — about the way he never gets mad at me no matter what I do. From what I've seen and heard about the human world, I was surprised to find a human as kindhearted as Josh.I would admit it. I like him. More than I should. More than someone like me is allowed to.It still surprises me how deeply I have grown to admire him. In all my centuries of existence, I have never met a human like Josh. He is soft, where others are cruel. Patient where others are fearful. Kind where others would have raised weapons. And perhaps that is why I fell for him. Moreover he wa
I stood behind my bedroom door longer than I needed to that morning. My hand hovered over the doorknob, fingers flexing as if I needed to convince my own body to cooperate. I hadn’t slept much. Every time I closed my eyes, my mind replayed the image of Ashley standing in the living room under the harsh ceiling light—her clothes stained red, her lips marked with something I didn’t want to name. She said it was paint, but why do I find it hard to believe that?I exhaled slowly and pressed my forehead against the door.Get a grip, Josh!I can't let fear dictate my actions. I was an adult. A rational person. Whatever I have seen last night, there had to be a logical explanation. Jumping to conclusions wouldn’t help anyone—least of all me.“She hasn’t hurt anyone,” I muttered to myself. “She hasn’t done anything wrong.”I straightened, rolling my shoulders back. I wasn’t going to be scared of Ashley. She's just a girl and I shouldn't overthinking thinks. That won't be fair to her.Ashely s
Days passed, but instead of things settling into a routine, Ashley only grew stranger. At first, it was small things. Things I told myself didn’t matter. Things I tried to ignore but couldn't.It started with food.Since she doesn't know how to cook, cooking became my responsibility. After my family died, I had to learn how to cook because I mostly like being alone. Which is why I can cook.I remember the first time I offered Ashely breakfast after the chaos in the kitchen, she had grimace after having a taste, but I thought my eyes might be playing tricks on me. But after living together for longer time, I realized that maybe it was not.But as days goes by, I realized that maybe Ashely hated food which is strange. If it had been a particular food, it would be understandable, but she doesn't seem to like anything I prepared. I started noticing it the second time I offered her food, she said she wasn’t hungry. The third time, she claimed she’d eaten outside. By the fourth day, a patt
For the first time in years, I couldn't concentrate on my work. The documents spread neatly across my desk blurred together no matter how many times I read them. Numbers that would normally snap into place like obedient soldiers now floated uselessly in my mind.My thoughts kept drifting—uninvited and persistent—to my housemaid Ashely.I leaned back in my chair, pinching the bridge of my nose as if that would somehow force my brain back on track. This was ridiculous. I had far more important things to think about than my housemaid who I find very very strange. And yet, there was something about her that didn’t sit right with me. I still cant get over the fact that she turned out to be younger by some magic when her profile clearly showed that she was an older woman with two years experience.Thinking about it, I still can't seem to get over the shock. This is beyond strange. I can't believe I hired her without checking probably to be sure that she wasn't an imposter. What's wrong with
I woke up choking. The smell that invaded my senses was so aggressive it felt like it had hands. Thick, acrid and unmistakable. Something was burning. For a few foggy seconds, I stayed where I was, half-buried in sleep, my mind scrambling for excuses. Maybe it was a dream. Maybe it was the neighbor in the next apartment doing something reckless at an ungodly hour. Then the smell got worse and I sat up in bed almost coughing out my lunch. My eyes flew open. Holy shit, there's smoke in my room!“Oh shit,” I muttered, throwing the covers off. I stumbled out of bed, still half-asleep, nearly tripping over my own feet as I rushed out of my bedroom. My pulse thundered in my ears as I followed the smell. It was coming from the kitchen.I burst in like a mad man. The kitchen was filled with smoke so thick it looked like a low-budget horror movie. It clung to the ceiling, curled around the cabinets, and stung my eyes the second I stepped inside. I coughed, waving a hand in front of my face, p
