We'd finally rescued the doctor from the rogue vampires. To our surprise, the doctor had the same thought that he was going to help us to create the formula for the synthetic blood so all the vampires in the Imperial Colony didn’t have to drink human or animal blood anymore.
That was the thing very important to achieve to create a peaceful world decent for humanity. That in the end, my vampire children and I could get some rest from hunting rogue vampires or even sleeping eternally in our coffins, to be wakened up later when there was some kind of disturbance in the peace of humanity.
Not for wishing something bad, but I was cursed and built my empire of children only to protect the human. This was my legacy and I intended to keep it that way.
So when we finally found a way with the help of the doctor, though we hadn't found the actual result, we were pretty sure we were closer to our final goal.
I was glad I finally had this thought when we went outside and gathered with Zach and Viktor. They were both standing by at the entrance door ready to report to me. It was so clear that their faces were plastered with anticipation that John, Ezi, and I had finally found the doctor,
“How are the rogue vampires, gentlemen? “I referred to Zach and Viktor.
“If you look up and see the fireworks, my lady. Those are the left of them… “Viktor answered while smirking and gesturing for us to look up. His was-once-brown eyes now turned blue and glowed as they now belonged to the powerful vampire cop he was now.
We stopped to look up so I whispered to the doctor who was standing so tall behind me,
“Those fireworks, doctor, are the left of the rogue vampires.”
The doctor looked up and he looked like he was in awe with his smear shape lips slightly opened. His brilliance suddenly disappeared as he looked like he knew there was more than just a smart brain if you could see the beauty in the world. For a second, he looked stupid and so small, though he was too tall for a mere human.
I could see the reflection of the fireworks on his spectacles. The reflection was indeed a beauty until Zach disturbed me from my daydreaming,
[Not as beautiful as when you killed those rogue vampires. We always love your kind of fireworks]
Zach muttered in my mind that made me smile proudly because my children could appreciate the beauty though we were just a bunch of vampires, the bloodsucker. We could appreciate beauty just like a man did.
As I saw before me, the doctor, a mere human, could be in awe and appreciate the simple beauty of the fireworks made from the burning rogue vampires’ heads.
There was always beauty in each irony. It was an irony of killing other creatures decent enough to be killed to let the Weak with brilliant minds live in peace. They were the humans.
I felt the urge in need to introduce Zach and Viktor to the doctor because we were going to work together and to let the doctor feel accepted in my inner circle. I believed I had to give him the taste of trust so he could be open to me because later we would work together,
“Dr. Lazlo Howard, meet my first horseman Zach, and my fourth horseman, Viktor.” I gestured to them and they nodded like a bunch of cowboys. They worked like cowboys with the vampire horses. They rode and tended the vampire horses as their tools to help kill the rogue vampires.
There was a hint of a flash of light I could almost see in the doctor’s eyes. Admiration was the thing I could read from his expression like he had wanted to meet them. What came next in the remark that he stated, was the proof of his amazement,
“Oh wow… what an honor meeting you all…” and then he just stood there in silence, still with his slightly opened mouth. I’d like to laugh a lot seeing the sight of him. He was astonished by my four horsemen. Like a fan met his idols. But I didn’t laugh trying not to do the same thing when I met the doctor for the first time.
I didn’t want the doctor to think that his queen was inappropriately sassy. Especially when I was about to work with him later to guide him on what he could do with the design of the synthetic blood for the vampires to drink.
“Likewise, doc.” Viktor nodded. He was more friendly than Zachary or short for Zach who was more formal. Zach could never lose his feeling as a military soldier. Once a jarhead, he would always be a jarhead, so he only courteously nodded and replied,
“Doc.”
“It’s been a pleasure, meeting you, Doc.” Viktor shoved his right hand to shake the doctor’s hand while the doctor accepted and added his left hand to close their shaking hands like he was so glad to meet Viktor. One was a big fan – the doctor-, and the other had a hidden intention – Viktor -. I was hoping everything would be under my control.
Viktor looked enthusiastic because I believed he already read a lot through the doctor’s files, or it was his other intention that he was curious about. Ever once Viktor mentioned the possibility of resurrecting my wolf side so that we could be a hybrid, the creature of both vampire and werewolf. It would be so effective indeed if we could work in the daylight to eradicate the rogue vampires.
Peace would be restored in no time. Though there was not much challenge in that. My life so far had been interesting for being a low-life vampire trying to protect the Weak human.
“Viktor is in the Force, doc. He read a lot about you. He might be a fan as well.” I smirked, while both of them widely grinned. It looked like they were meeting their soulmates. Falling in love at the first sight would be the completely wrong suitable term for their moment like this.
“I might be I am, Viktor. I’ve been reading about all of your achievements in the Force, especially when dealing with the rogue vampires…” the doctor seemed excited but he had to be disappointed when Viktor who didn’t like to be on the spot had to spill the secret,
“Oh, that would be this Zachary, Zach for short. He was in the military, so all the field strategies were designed by him. I only managed the right Force resources so we could be effective in dealing with vampires.”
The doctor nodded over and over showing that he understood and looked like he was still admiring my four horsemen. He was indeed a man of few words just like Zach who was only smiling and tilted his head a bit to the doctor. I guessed almost all of my four horsemen didn’t like to be on the spot, except for Ezi.
It’s possible that was because Ezi was the youngest and the youngest human when I turned him. He was still in his undergrad program and found almost died when he hiked. Surprisingly, it was modeling that he took as a way to appreciate his smooth and radiant vampire skin.
“And I, Ezi, the second horseman, and the great rogue vampire tracker as well,” Ezi rudely grinned and showed his vampire fangs. I rolled my eyes.
“Umm… yes, sir… we met inside” the doctor replied instead of ignoring the annoying Ezi. Ezi shamelessly moved his face closer to the doctor and it looked like a dwarf was bravely staring at a tall slim giant. If we could, we would laugh at the sight of them. But, we knew we had to be serious because the doctor himself looked so serious.
It could be seen that the doctor was also a polite one, the one with chivalry. It was quite rare for a scientist to have that kind of chivalry or should I say ancient chivalry. Most scientists with a genius brains would also be arrogant. But not this doctor, I smelled something ancient and something noble, though there was one mist that clouded my judgment. One bad thing was that I didn’t know what it was.
Since there was only one, it was going to be easy to find it.
But one person with a free soul couldn’t stand his rude expression, so John chuckled. I felt like I needed to introduce John, the bravest of them all.
“And this rude gentleman is John, as you knew you met inside, doc. John is good with engines and outstandingly committed to patrolling in this very city to find potential rogue vampires’ nests. Usually, they only travel or hunt in a pack consisting of two or three vampires. Tonight’s ten rogue vampires in a nest is the biggest question that you should answer, doc…” I ended my explanation with a demand for an explanation.
Eye for an eye.
“I…” the doctor was about to speak but I cut his sentence.
“Later in the mansion, doc. You’ll answer that. But before that, you’ll have to take care of yourself to clean and eat well. I don’t want the biggest brain that can help us ends shrinking and can’t do well then the Imperial Colony will be in chaos because of losing its last hope…”
But before I was done with my sentence, the doctor shoved his hand in my direction, to my head, and found something,
“But, my queen, you’re bleeding…” that handsome doctor with the hideous outfit looked so sympathetic to me. I tilted my head because of being confused why the doctor seemed to care. I frowned.
“Never mind, doctor. I’m used to this as a rogue vampire killer. It’ll close by itself tomorrow. I’ll have blood replacement later anyway in the mansion.”
“Mansion or castle, milady?” The sassy John picked me being clumsy in front of the doctor. John was widely smiling mischievously. I frowned.
“Used to be my ancestor’s mansion, now it’s big enough to be called a castle. But it’ll always be a mansion where I sometimes spent my childhood. It might be a castle for you, John, and my children. But it’s always a mansion for me.” Like that answered the so important question annoyingly asked by John. He tested the water if I could have any reaction. This soulless vampire, if we had any soul.
Suddenly the doctor reminded us of his one true intention left behind the silliness of my children,
“My queen, please… let this humble servant mend your gracious war wound…” his expression was so begging, and I couldn’t take my eyes off his perfect brown almond-shaped eyes. His gaze was so intoxicating, like a black hole sucking us whole.
But I laughed because I had the next line,
“Do you mean you wanted to cover my loss of being knocked by you with an iron bar stool?”
Those intoxicating eyes weren’t intoxicating anymore. It changed widened with horror and he instinctively looked to the left and right sides seeing my four horsemen surrounding him.
All of my four horsemen were in sync staring rudely at the doctor, their eyes were almost getting out of their heads. So I tried to calm them,
“No worries, boys. The doctor was just trying to protect himself from the danger and it was a brave thing to do as a human trapped in a ravaging bloodsucker.” I chinned up showing that I was okay so they could drop their threatening gazes at the doctor.
“And how are you going to take care of my wound?” I got curious.
“I have the first aid kit here…” while smiling, the doctor tapped on the box that I didn’t see he had carried since we went down to the first floor and got outside of the building.
“Very well, doctor. Cure me…” I ordered him around. I was about to look for a chair but,
“Here are the chairs, my lady… doctor…” thoughtfully, Zach came with two chairs comfortable enough to sit on. While seeing the lights from the flashlights moved by the Force’s troops who were looking for more clues, I could relax a little bit.
“So tell me, doc. Should I call you Dr? Howard or professor?” I tried to make him relax because I could smell his fear when he tended to my wound. I almost could hear him smiling when he answered my question,
“Just ‘doc’ or ‘doctor’, milady. I’m never good at teaching, public speaking is always a problem for me. I tend to be quiet. So ‘professor’ doesn’t suit me.”
I smiled, as I thought, he was a little bit timid because…

[ ] this punctuation is used to give a sign that the sentences were said as a means of communication between vampires. These vampires had these abilities because they were from one root of a Maker, Vivienne, who used to be a werewolf that could communicate in a pack and was the descendant of the Empath humans, the mind reader. Since she was downgraded to a vampire because of the Tribrid’s curse, her ability was also lessened to be able to communicate only one on one to her child only one at a time. I use the punctuation because the GoodNovel app for mobile doesn’t show the post to be in italic. It only applies if you open the story using a PC. Happy reading
I was trying to set a back-up plan if anything went South after my fight with the doctor. We both were so emotional as if we were a couple. Though we weren't. We're the creatures of master control, but our side selves seemed to feel like a normal human beings. We might be the undead supernatural beings as I was the vampire and he was the Incubus, but we had other sides as well. My she-wolf was half awaken as I was closer to a creature called hybrid, while the Incubus doctor occupied a body of a gorgeous tall dark man with a youth of ten years younger than he looked like now. He was the definition of constant temptation as it had proven that my she-wolf inside me liked him as she was awaken when he lured her through the wet holes between my thighs. He successfully made it wet as in juicy lustful wet instead of merely blood that I drank. After I banged his temporary lab door because I couldn't bang the doctor myself, and the doctor was also smashing things up, I realized we needed to
When the doctor aka incubus offered to have his spiritual body to be Chi-mined, I was clueless as I didn't know how to react to that. He said it was a form of showing that he loved my life and in the end, he loved me as well. But he had deceived me, how did he expect me to believe anything he said? My trust issues and I. If you had been living for two hundred and sixty-nine years old just like I was, you would know how it felt when people around were used to deceiving you, and that trust became an issue. Though it wouldn't matter at all as I couldn't be killed, I was the undead anyway. But along the way, I might grow caring for him as he knew how to treat me and know so much about me. Well, he didn't have to try hard as he already knew all the knowledge about my new-being-vampire. But his choice to be by my side or put some scheme to be found by me had captivated me, he was indeed astonishing. Though I was provoked if he DID being Chi-mined, I knew that he needed all the strength
On our professional days, I asked questions that bothered me. One thing led to another, then it came the doctor's remark that surprised me. "You know, my queen... "I cut his sentence halfway, "No, I don't." Then he chuckled. I was glad in a while he could be seen not too sad, not just a while ago when he told me he wanted to stay as my prisoner in my castle. Explanation from me was the thing that came after because I believed he deserved an explanation. "No, really doctor. I don't know. Truly..., " I said while grinning that I thought the she-wolf that had 'were' meant human in me had finally appeared even for a while, then I continued, "You're the one who has all the advantages here as you can read my mind and I don't, doctor. " To my surprise, I laughed at the last word said. "Oh, my queen. You're not trying hard. Why don't you try to read my mind now, as now I am thinking of something? "His gaze didn't leave me not even a second as I tried to read him. Then there was a long lin
Then in a vampiric speed, I quickly went back to my room and summoned Mr. Tanaka to bring me ten glasses of warm human blood, along with the order of the blueprint for the construction workers. They would work days and nights. Days for the humans shift, while nights for vampires shift. It would be three times faster as the vampire construction workers would finish twice the job done by the day shift humans. My vampire system was effective indeed. The doctor was completely right, I was famished and I really needed those ten glasses of blood. Like a newborn vampire, I drank all the blood in those ten glasses at once. He was right, again. I slowly turned into a hybrid, the creature that was said to be the monster among the beasts of vampires and werewolves. Let alone the Tribrid that cursed my ancestor and I was the one who burdened with the curse. Afraid of being out of control, I tried to sleep after I made myself full. It was just a basic need for any animated creature on earth t
"Now... let's get to work," the doctor said, and I couldn't agree more. "Absolutely!" I replied. Then there was a long silence when we stared at each other. I didn't want to think because he would read my mind. So I was just staring at him and he was also staring back at me. Words left unspoken, not even in our minds. Our gazes met felt like centuries passed by. It was an absolute moment of awkwardness if we both were human. But the only human here, or half-human was the doctor. Thus, explained why sometimes he acted like a human just like what he did at this very moment. But he knew, he should be the one who broke the silence as he knew I was the creature of hollow that still learned how to be a vampire, meanwhile he knew how to act like a human. Hence, he chuckled so we finally could move on from our staring-at-each-other game. "So what now?" he sneered mocking me being the employer, he wanted me to decide what we should do next. I acted fast. "Well, first. We need to deci
The doctor demanded to drink from me again as he said that the life juice I produced from my intimate core, would be a waste if I let it drip to the floor. It could be the source of his strength that later he would provide Chi for my vampire troops, In order for them to be at least as strong as the rogue vampires who consumed the most powerful source of blood, human blood. His head finally reached my lower body part as he sucked the juice in my wet folds, I couldn't help myself but enjoyed it. So I moved my hips as he sucked my intimate core so strong making sure no juice was left as it was crucial for him to maintain his strength as an incubus. But the stronger he sucked, the more something wanna explode inside of me. So I held onto his head, ensuring he didn't stop until I finally exploded. My moaning was unavoidable. Moving my hips, hands on his hair, I let go of what wanted to explode, "Ah... Ah... Yes... Yes... Mmhh.. Mhhh.. Oh oh oh yah yah yah... " I made an awful sound a
