Chapter 19: The Science of a Disaster

The doctor's remark startled me as he said,

"That's why I'm a perfect lover for you, my queen."

I was perplexed by his sentence. Why would he say a sentence like that?

But I didn't think of anything as I tried so hard not to think in case the doctor would just do his job answering my question in my mind without me asking the questions to him orally.

I only frowned.

"You frowned again, my queen. And I can't read your mind as you try not to think?"

He was right but I was also right at least I was right for once. I tried not to think.

"Were you ever wrong, doc?"

He smirked.

"The perks of being an incubus, my queen. It's just obvious because we're ancient creatures."

Damn right, the doctor was a fossil.

And he laughed. And I knew why. He knew I thought of him as a fossil. If I could be honest, I didn't mind having him as a colleague and having these kinds of days for the rest of my life.
