24: Noel

The sun shone brightly, making me squirm hard to see properly. I could feel a pain from the side of my arm and a lot began to go on my mind.

The drugs which I have taken to keep me from getting hurt from the sun must be wearing out and hence, I have to go back to the mansion and get another doze in.

I walked back to the car, getting a jacket and draped it on the side of my shoulder, praying that the sun won't get under my skin. Thank goodness, it doesn't get to my face.

I dragged my feet into the company, getting to the elevator and pressed the last floor. I hate the idea that Gaby is still on his anniversary leave. Yesterday was their anniversary and he called in this morning to say that he won't come.

To say, I was indeed angry when he called because I had planned to do a lot with him today. We have to go for site sighting and also, now I have to go back to mansion by the end of the day.

I walked out of the elevator as soon as it opened, feeling in the fresh air that was around me.
