Job interview

Ariel got out of the tub and dried herself. Walking towards her bed, she looked at the time and it was almost midnight.

Ariel  was an English girl with pearly white skin, her pure blood-like red wavy hair flowed from from her roots down to her waist giving a great contrast between her white skin and her hair. Her green eyes were so distinctive. Just like two emeralds stuck on her face and her pink plum lips were just...ahhhh.... inviting. But even with her extremely good looks, Ariel was almost 24 and still unmarried. She preferred adventure more than entering that boat called "marriage". Of course, people said alot of insultive words to her and sometimes even her grandmother. But Ariel never really paid attention to it all. Her willingness to find out more about those creatures superceded her willingness to get married.

Ariel's grandmother, Riele, always told her that there was something special about her and she should not mind the nasty words of the people around and Ariel did just that. Living her life with a free mind. Being an untouched flower.

Ariel decided to take a short nap before dawn and as soon as she shut her eyes, she heard them. Those horrible creatures. They invaded her mind. She didn't know how they did it but they did. She heard them utterly unfathomable words. Sleep was not an option now. Ariel had a job interview by dawn at 8:00am but these creatures didn't let her have her sleep.

She caused this for herself, she was just too curious that she didn't know that she had wandered far into the land of the unknown and now, they are on the hunt for her. Those creatures could materialize into this room now if they wanted to but they knew doing that might reveal their existence to another person which was Ariel's grandmother but they decided to use a more torturous method. Invading the victim's mind, depriving them of peace.

Ariel  went downstairs to take a cup of coffee and prepare herself for the interview .

Sitting at the dinning room of her house, Eva sipped her coffee and was rehearsing what she would say at her interview when her grandma came down the stairs.

"Honey what are you doing awake at this time?" The elderly  woman said to her grandchild.

Ariel turned her head and saw her grandma"Did I wake you up grandma?" Ariel asked with concern evident in her voice

"Don't try to avoid my own question young lady" Her grandma said chuckling

Ariel smiled at her sweet grandma who had always been there for her since the beginning.

"I couldn't sleep ma" Ariel said

"It's okay honey. Just close your eyes and you'll eventually doze off" This time, her grandma was already at her side rubbish Ariel's hair slowly.

"Thank you Grandma but I'll rather get ready for my interview than sleep" Ariel said determined

"If you say so honey. Don't stress yourself too much okay?" Grandma Riele said

"Sure" Ariel said nodding her head.

"All your hard work will come to play honey. Just be ready. Because life will offer you an unexpected thing in an unexpected environment" The old woman said before walking away to her own room

Unbeknownst to Ariel this statement that her grandma made, had a deeper meaning to it.

The sun was already rising above the horizon and Ariel was still wide awake, seeing the sun rise was a really beautiful thing to watch for her but the euphoria from watching the sun quickly disappeared as she quickly ran upstairs and went straight to the bathroom.

In a few minutes, she was out. She dressed corporately in a black suit and knee length skirt to match and a white inner.

She quickly ran the comb through her hair and put it in a ponytail. She kissed her grandma goodbye before dashing out of the house. Forgetting to eat breakfast.

Taking a taxi, she headed to the company. Doubt and fear invaded her heart as she wondered if she would get the job. Soon, the taxi stopped right in front of the company and Ariel paid the driver and stepped out.

She looked up at the company and at the peak was written "X & Y Corporation". The biggest trading company in the whole of Asia.

Ariel was already feeling extremely weak in her knees as she walked towards the entrance. As soon as she entered, a young lady perhaps in her thirties, walked up to Ariel "Good morning miss, are you the one applying for the job?" And Ariel nodded

"Come with me"The lady said and Ariel walked with her. The company was even more ethereal on the inside. Everything, everyone were looking neat. The place was far better in real life than in her dreams. Yes, she did dream about this place before today.

They entered a glass elevator to the CEO's office. After getting to the last floor, where the CEO was, they walked towards the door and for some reason, Ariel felt fear grip her worse than the way it was outside.

The lady walked inside first and in a few seconds, she came out to Ariel and gestured her to come in.

Ariel entered into the office and the intense atmosphere of the room brought shivers down her spine. She looked up at the infamous CEO. Park Sebastian and they locked eye contact for a while.

How surreal it felt to lock eyes with the infamous CEO, Park Sebastian. Ariel thought.
