Chapter eighteen

Alaric Pov

Rodrigo woke up early and headed to Alaric house to resume activities for the day. He knocked on the door and waited for a reply. He heard a very low ' I'm coming '. He thanked the heavens in his head for having sensitive hearing like other vampires. After some seconds Alaric opened the door.

"Good morning boss, hope you had a wonderful night?"

" Yes Rodrigo, I slept pretty well in fact. Haven't had so much fun in a while. Hope you slept well? "

" Yes boss," Rodrigo said and smiled. Alaric wasn't sure if to ask him about his visit to his aunt or his request for a trip. He had a feeling something was more to it. He decided he would ask by the end of the day if Rodrigo hadn't brought it up.

"I was thinking boss......", "Alaric, I've always told you to call me by name when we're alone,"
