Second rejection

Waylan's eyes starts to open from a deep sleep when she heard some voices outside her room. She stood up slowly and open the door of her room and she found her dad and her stepmom shouting at each other.

"How can you explain this! You hide this from me from the start?" her stepmom shouted at his dad.

"No! I didn't mean it. I just can't tell you the truth because I love you so much and our daughter Mia, I don't want you to leave me if I tell you that I got a daughter a long time ago and I'll never expect that she will gonna find me!" Waylan's dad said.

Waylan got near them and look at them angrily.

"Stop talking nonsense because whatever you say I have the right to stay here! she said angrily but deep inside she's too hurt knowing that his father never takes her as his daughter.

"Let her out before I slap her!" her stepmom shouted angrily.

"Waylan could you get out first, ?" his stepfather said.

Waylan can't do anything but get out. She sits on a bench outside the big house of his dad while trying to stop her tears from falling. She just got shocked when a young girl sits behind her smiling at her.

"Hi! Are you my older sister they are talking all about last night? I'm sorry I didn't get out of my room to say hi to you last night I didn't feel well. By the way, I'm Mia, your younger sister  I'm  13 years old. How about you?" she smiled while talking.

Waylan looked at Mia from head to toe. She's just like a princess in her beautiful clothes while she's just like a beggar when compared to her stepsister.

"I hate you so much! Stay away from me! Waylan shouted.

Mia got shocked and afraid that she stood up leaving Waylan outside.

Hours, minutes, day by day has passed but how her father, her stepmom and even the maids treat her never changed. They hate Waylan too much but Waylan needs to endure it just to live. 

Although she's in that big house with maids and bodyguards she is never treated like how they treat her younger stepsister that's the reason why she hates her stepsister too much. She cooks on her own and eats alone until Mia approaches her.

" Do you want to eat with me sister?" Mia asked.

"No! Just go away from me!" Waylan shouted at her.

But Mia sits beside Waylan while holding her plate.

"You cook that alone? Can you share it with me?" Mia asked.

"No! Let your maid cook for you!"

"But I want to taste that!"

"Okay fine! It's all yours!" Waylan shouted while giving her food to Mia.

Mia smiled and starts eating.

"Hmmm, your good at cooking? Me I never cook!" Mia said.

"Yeah, I know! No need to tell!"

"By the way sister, why do you hate me that much!" Asked Mia.

"I just hate you! No more questions!" Waylan shouted.

"But I don't hate you. I love you," Mia answered smiling.

Waylan stops herself from smiling when she heard what Mia said but on that day on,  the hate she feels from her stepsister starts to vanish and she thought that she could change how her stepmother and his dad treats her as time passed by but she got mistaken when his father talks at her one evening inside her room.

"Waylan, before you come here our family is doing good. But when you came I and my wife starts quarrelling every day which I hate the most. I love my family that I don't want it to be destroyed that's why I need you to leave. I have already found an apartment for you far away from here. You will stay there but don't worry because I will support you financially. Here's your ATM I already made an account for you," her dad said.

"You love your family? What about me do you love me too? I'm your daughter too! How could you say that to me! I hate you so much! How can you live happily while your daughter is living a hard life? Don't you know that while you are laughing I'm crying? Have you ever think of me even just for a second! What kind of dad are you? Am I not your child? Don't you know why I'm here? I'm here because there's no one out there that could help me. You never asked but mom is already dead so who should I ask for help?" Waylan said while crying.

Her dad suddenly falls to his knees.

"I'm sorry my daughter. I promise to provide all the things you need," her stepdad said while his tears keeps falling too.

Waylan suddenly gets the ATM from his dad's hand and starts tearing it. She step on it many times until it was been destroyed.

"I don't need your money! I'm sorry for coming into your life but the moment I step on that door will be the last moment I can call you dad. It hurts me so much. For the second time, you rejected me again. I'll leave as you wish and I hope that our paths will never cross again. But if one day I'll meet you again I'm sorry but in my heart, you are already a stranger," Waylan's last word while tears keep falling from her eyes.

His dad never answers but in his eyes sadness can be seen. Waylan packed his clothes and hurried to the door but her dad followed her.

"Please get this money! I beg you, please! Please!" his dad pleaded as he put a lot of money in Waylan's pocket.

Waylan never turns back. She just let her dad put the money in her pocket. After that, she continued walking till she reached the gate. She just stop when she heard Mia's voice from behind her back.

"No! Please don't leave sister!"

Waylan turned back and look at her stepsister's eyes.

"You know what! I don't hate you, I just hate you because dad loves you more than me! I just hate you because you live a happy life with our dad while I live a tough life. I just hope I could never see you again but if that will happen then please just pretend that you don't know me," Waylan's last word.
