“How?” The jewelry that had turned black now glows as I glance at the hand he is holding.

My eyes widen as he says, "Because I made this with the assistance of a young kid who had been fond of his sister's ladyship."

“Since he is the sole surviving member of the family of the little girl named Emma, her younger brother resides at my manor.”

“See? So, Count Claudius, you're not a monster," I grin. I don't care how they met because I am confident in his character as a young man.

His cheeks are now caressed as I place my hands on them. I turn my attention from his gaze to his lips. I can see them softening a little.
