Sebastian’s POV

I leaned back in my leather chair, swirling the dark liquid in my glass slowly. The ice clinked against the sides, breaking the silence in my office. Outside the wide window, the city glowed under the early evening sky. Lights blinked on one by one like tiny stars, but all I saw was my reflection. My sharp suit, my neatly combed hair, and the cold satisfaction in my own eyes.

Two months.

It had been two months since Nathan fell into a coma. Two months since he stopped showing up at the office, barking orders like he owned the world. Two months since the mighty Nathan Hale disappeared from everyone’s life, giving me room to finally breathe.

A smirk tugged at my lips. Everyone thought I was being patient, stepping back for the sake of family. But deep inside, I was counting every single day. Because soon, this entire empire would be mine.

I finished my drink in one gulp and stood up, straightening my jacket before leaving my office. I walked down the quiet hall towards R

  • The Vow I Never Took   We Will Find A Way

Lena’s POVAfter Nathan’s confession, I didn’t know what to say. My heart felt heavy with worry, but at the same time, I understood why he hid the truth. The Hale family was dangerous. I had seen enough to know that if they realised Nathan was awake and planning something, they would strike before he could even move.I reached out and held his face in my hands, making him look at me. “Nathan,” I said softly, my voice trembling a little. “I understand. I don’t like that you kept it from me, but… I understand. I know you’re only trying to protect us.”His eyes softened with relief, and he rested his forehead against mine. “Thank you,” he whispered. “Thank you for not hating me.”“I could never hate you,” I said with a small smile, brushing his hair back from his forehead. “But promise me one thing.”“Anything,” he said quickly.“Promise me that from now on… we’ll do this together. No more secrets. No more trying to protect me by keeping me in the dark. If we’re going to survive this… I

  • The Vow I Never Took   Why Do You Look Like This?

Lena’s POVI sat on the living room floor with my laptop balanced on my knees, surrounded by scattered notebooks and printed documents. My back ached slightly from bending over for so long, but I ignored it, my eyes glued to the screen as I read yet another article about NN Investment Company.Their requirements were tough, stricter than any other company I had ever seen. But I didn’t care. I was determined to help Nathan get this deal. He had told me many times over the past week not to worry about it.“Lena,” he would say with a tired smile, brushing my hair away from my face, “you don’t need to stress yourself with this. I can handle it.”But each time he said that, I only felt more determined. I wanted to help. I needed to help. I couldn’t just sit back and watch him do everything alone. It was evening, and the sky outside had turned a deep orange, fading into grey as the sun set. The lights in the living room were warm and soft, casting a peaceful glow across the walls. I heard t

  • The Vow I Never Took   Feel At Peace

Lena’s POV Nathan led me up the stairs to the rooftop lounge. I had never been here before. As he opened the glass door, a soft breeze brushed against my face, carrying the scent of fresh flowers and city air. The rooftop was wide, with a wooden floor and a few small trees planted in large pots along the edges. In the middle sat a round table with two chairs facing the skyline. The sun was high in the sky, warm but not too hot, and the clouds floated lazily above us. Nathan pulled out one of the chairs for me, his eyes crinkling with a small smile. “Your seat, m’lady,” he said, his voice teasing. I rolled my eyes but couldn’t help the grin tugging at my lips. “Such a gentleman,” I shot back, settling into the chair. He chuckled and sat across from me, placing the food bag on the table. I watched him silently as he began unpacking the meal I’d prepared. His fingers moved with care, almost tenderly, as he set out each container, sandwiches, fruit salad, homemade cookies, and a sm

  • The Vow I Never Took   Finally At Peace

Lena’s POVI stared at the paper in my hand. Bold letters at the top read “NN Investment Company.” The name felt so familiar, it made my chest tighten instantly.“NN Investment…” I whispered to myself, almost forgetting Nathan was there. My mind raced back to a time not so long ago, a time I tried so hard to forget.Nathan, who was busy stacking the rest of the scattered files, looked up at me. “You know them?” he asked, a small frown forming on his forehead.I nodded slowly, my fingers tightening around the paper. “Yeah… I know them. They’re the biggest investment company overseas. Almost everyone dreams of signing a deal with them. They’re like… the peak of business success.”Nathan placed the files on the table and walked over to me. He sat down, his knees brushing against mine as he reached out to gently take the paper from my hands.“I’m planning to send them a proposal for the new product launch,” he said quietly. “It’s a risky move, but if they agree, it’ll take everything to a
