Chapter 32 - Combustible Dreams

I made sure that Fiona unblocked me before I shifted and flew back home. A part of me worried about going back, as I wondered if the same thing would happen again and again. That we were simply doomed to live a cycle of remembering just to forget again.

But life can't be ignored. Fiona needed to plan a memorial service for all of those that lost their lives, and I needed to prepare for what was sure to come.

The first thing that I did was get out of my dirty clothes and take another quick shower. As soon as I dared to open my phone, I cringed at seeing all of the notifications.

Might as well start with the most important call. As I sat at my office desk, I touched the little green phone icon by Landon's name. I didn't even have a chance to put the phone up to my ear by the time he answered.

"LEVIATHAN! What the fuck did you do?!" The tone of Landon's voice would have been enough to scare any average dragon into being obedient, but I was exhausted and over politics right about now.
