"Dad we need to talk" I mumbled to him then led him into my study which is on the third floor while Jake was still explaining about the Stratovskys and where they might live. Without speaking Dad followed me from behind. To be honest we haven't talked much about Cara and her identity as a pure-blooded Leykan.

I know Dad needs time to digest everything. After all my grandfather, Theodore Brennan, was one of the originators of the movement to hunt down and exterminate the Leykan. So my father grew up with teachings to always hate and hunt Leykan. Even though the teachings were not passed down to me because so far the Leykan have been considered extinct.

I opened my office door and let him in. Dad sat down first on one of the black couches and then I sat across from him. Dad hasn't asked how Cara is even in the last month, but Mum keeps asking about Cara's progress so it seems like Dad knows it from Mum too.
