"Don't fight." Balthazar's gruff muttering sounded from behind me. I tried to sit up but failed, the only thing I could do was move my head towards him. The pain all over my body was nothing compared to the crushing power of Balthazar who was trying to drown the Leykan energy from my body.

Balthazar crouched over me to inspect while I writhed on the ground trying to fight off the painful crush that felt like it was squeezing every organ in my body. "Take a deep breath," he orders as he presses my shoulders against the ground. Her eyes only glanced at where Viktor lay for a moment before looking at me again with a look of worry and anger.

"Let me go-" I moaned while grinding my teeth hard to endure this pain.

"If I let you go now all the werewolves who are heading to this place will smell your Leykan scent." Instead of loosening his hand from my shoulder, Balthazar just pushed me harder until I groaned even louder.

"Take deep breaths," he repeated impatiently.
