Chapter 32

A mumbling sound could be heard faintly in the darkness, I half-heartedly forced my heavy eyes to open. What time is it?

"Cars?" Alex's voice called me then followed by the sound of the door closing.

"Hmm. What time is it?" I asked in a hoarse voice I barely recognized. My eyes were still half open, I could see Alex who was standing at the end of the bed. He was wearing a gray t-shirt and jeans. I opened my eyes wider and looked at him. His beard would cover most of his jaw, his brown eyes staring back at me. Then a second later I realized we weren't in his apartment. My confused feelings only lasted for a moment, the previous events rushed into my memory. I was trying to get out of bed when pain hit my head. I dropped my head back on the pillow while groaning, my eyes tightly closed.

"Cara..."Alex's voice got closer. The pain made my previous sleepiness disappear. I opened my eyes again as the pain faded away, I remembered. I remember what happened yesterday. Vincent, the crash, Edwa
