Chapter 7

Stella's POV

I wake up with the sun shinning through the curtians. Oh, it's 10am. I hop out of bed and head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I put my hair into high pony becaukse I know it's going to be hot out there, 95 degrees according to my phone. Shorts and a tank top it will be.

My stomach starts to tell me I need food and I also need to let Tiffany know that I haven't been stuffed in someone's trunk. I head downstairs and spot Thomas on the couch watching TV.

"Damn! You scared me." I said. "Sorry my brother gave me a key." He replies with a cheesy grin. "I could have killed you; you know?" I narrow my eyes at him. "Yeah that's true I have seen you fight," he laughs.

"Food?" I ask. "Duh I'm alway hungry." He smiles as he flips through the channels. I cook us up some toast with eggs and bacon.

As we sit down to eat, I ask Thomas. "So why did you tell your brother about me?" His eyes widen trying to think of what to say. "I didn't mean to. He was questioning me about why I was late, so I told him," he replies sulking. "If I would have known Alpha Cole would have wanted you here, I would have never said anything," Thomas adds. After a pause "Are you mad at me?" I stare at him for a few seconds. "No, they are paying me a lot of money to be here."

"So, what are we going to be doing today?" I ask. Thomas smiles. "I am going to give you the tour of this sectio of our territory."

We head outside and it's already getting hot out. I hop into Thomas' awaiting pickup and we take off. As we ride, we pass more giant houses mixed with smaller ones. "i never imagined werewolves lived like this!" I say loking around in shock. Thomas just smiles "You ain't sheen nothing yet."

We drive past a gorgeous lake and next toit is a huge house, bigger than the rest. I would call it a mansion. "That is Alpha Cole's house," Thomas says. "What else does Alpha Cole do for a living besides be an Alpha?" I ask. "The house has been in his family for generations, but Cole also invests well." Thomas laughs as we drive on.

"Over there is the training center," he points. I look over to see a large building. Outside there are large fields with obstacle courses and climbing walls. Several people are outside practicing hand to hand combat.

" I would like to give that a try," I smirk. "Well, you might get your chance," he says pulling into the parking lot. As we get out, I look aroud. This looks like a full-on military compound.

We walk over to the training area, I see three familiar faces running towards me Sean picks me up and spins me around. "My future wife is here," he says smiling. I squeal and laugh. "I didn't think I would be seeing you boys this soon," I laugh.

"So, Thomas told us he was bringing you here. You rady to show us your skills?" Devonte asks. I smilled my biggest smile "you know it." Luckily, I went with my running shorts and sneakers today. "I' first and I won't go easy on you," Kai announces. "Don't hurt my future wifey," Sean says.

We take our fight stace and Kai comes at me. I block his attempt to punch me ad then kick his legs out from under him. He falls hard but bounces right back up. "Damn Stella you ae fast," Kai says. The rest of the boy's cheer on the sidelines. "What the hell is going on here?" We turn to Beta Devin.

"What exactly do you think you are doing?" Devin asks angerly. Thomas spoke up "Bro I told you she knows how to fight." Devin did not look impressed. "That doesn't mean she should be out here with you doing hand to hand combat. You should be practicing against each other not her."

Devin grabs my arm and starts pulling me towards the building. "I'm fine I actually wanted to do that you know," I say prying my arm from his grip. He turns to me with dark eyes, "You shouldn't though, if Cole found out his witch that he is paying a lot of money was rolling around in the dirt, he would be pissed." I frown and reply "I a not some delicate little flower, and no one is going to tell me what I can and can't do with my life, not even your alpha."

Devin folds his arms and smirks, "you think so now but wait until you meet him." "Well until I meet him, I will do as I please," I say shaking my head. "Okay your funeral though," he says.

Devin starts walking away. Lord he is so sexy. The angry tattooed muscular bad boy is my type. He turns around to look at me. I think I see something flash in his eyes. I smirk and wave Waiting a few second, I then run back to Thomas with a big smile on my face.

"So where were we," I say. The boys all give me a look. "I took care of it ad I can do what I please." Kai throws his hands up "I' not it, I do not want to get on Devin's bad side," he says backing away. Thomas steps in "Maybe we can try again tomorrow." I roll my eyes "Okay what are we going to do next then?" I ask. "Food" the boys all say at once.

We head to a local café. The cute brunette green-eyed waitress of course knows all the boys. She seems to stare at Kai a little longer than the others. She is a sweet girl named Rain. She takes our abnormally large order and walks away smiling.

“So, what was up with that Kai” I ask teasing. The rest of the boys laugh. Kai looks lost “What nothing,” he replies. “Yeah, right she’s in loooove with Kai,” Sean said. Kai shoots Sean a look “She is not,” Kai replies clearly annoyed. Sean then proceeds to make out with his hand. “Gross” Kai balls up a napkin and throws it at him.

Rain comes back with our food; she smiles at Kai “Can I get you anything else?” she asks only to him. “No thanks Rain were fine,” he replies. She gives a big smile and walks away. “Don’t even,” Kai says.

We chat and I later find out from Thomas how rare it is to find your true mate. Many wolves will go their whole lives without finding their mate.
