Chapter 53
Stella’s POV
A woman with dark hair and eyes steps out from behind a tree. She giggles and smiles. She is the same woman who stabbed Cole. There is a familiar look to her, but I cannot place where I have seen her before.
“Hello beautiful girl.” She smiles holding out her arms like she wants to hug me.
I step back. “I wouldn’t if I were you.”
Her smile fades into a scowl and her eye twitches. She does not say anything she just stares at me, and a flash of disappointment appears in her eyes.
“Who the hell are you? Why are you here”? I ask her.
Cole and the rest of the pack come running to my back. A growl rips from Cole’s throat.
“You got yourself a guard dog huh? Never thought my daughter would be shacking up with a wolf. When I heard from my mother, I was shocked, frankly and disgusted,” She spits.
My eyes go wide. My mother is this woman standing in front of me.

Stella's POVWhen we arrive to my apartment, I decide to grab some pats. I let Thomas clan up some. He looks over at me with his dark eyes. "I have never seen a witch be able to do that," he says.
