The Wolfless Slave Luna

"I Alpha Marcus Clayton, reject you Annette Ciara as my mate and Luna," his hoarse voice echoed across the room. My small world squashed into pieces before my eyes...I felt some cold rivulets of sweat trickle down my armpits as a prickly sensation shot up in my spine. The embarrassment...I put up a tug of war with my emotions biting my lip so hard that l could feel the nasty taste of blood in my mouth. My whole body became impossibly still as l stayed transfixed to the tiled flow as if l was staring into a distant endless horizon.I could feel the eyes of dozens of pack members staring at me. Goose bumps quickly shrouded on my skin as l counted the seconds and minutes while anticipating Marcus to change his mind.I thought he was just playing pranks on me..."I Charlotte...""You are not allowed to say anything right now not even accepting or rejecting! From now on you are my slave!" he thundered. My jaw muscles tensed in fear and shock. My stomach contracted into a tight ball as m

Why is he keeping me around as his slave? Why can't he let me go away and find happiness elsewhere? Why is he tormenting me day and night? What's so special with me?I don't want to even believe she's dating my best friend Anastacia. It makes me dizzy to only imagine he's going to make her the Luna so that she will turn me into her donkey.I don't want to trust my instincts anymore though l almost lost my feet when l saw her in the dining room with Marcus. I had no idea where l was going in particular with nothing on except a torn rag to cover my nakedness. The old rag l had picked somewhere in the forest. For once l was free but scared of the uncertainty of the fate awaiting me in the unknown land. I don't how many miles l had covered by dawn. What mattered the most was my safety. I spotted a small town almost a half a mile away and l had to camp in a small cave the whole day.In my mind l already knew it was a town for humans but was l not one of them. I edged closer at night after bathing in a small river and feasting on wild fruits the whole day.I find an abandoned black short dress in the streets a t night and put it on before l entered a certain building, at first it didn'
