Annette's p.o.v

I knew how risky it was to hide in the forest. The mad warriors would have traced me earlier than l had imagined. I quickly changed my direction after leaving my gown near a hole to confuse and diffuse their efforts.

I went north while they searched the west. I had no idea where l was going in particular with nothing on except a torn rag to cover my nakedness.

The old rag l had picked somewhere in the forest.

For once l was free but scared of the uncertainty of the fate awaiting me in the unknown land. I don't how many miles l had covered by dawn.

What mattered the most was my safety. I spotted a small town almost a half a mile away and l had to camp in a small cave the whole day.

In my mind l already knew it was a town for humans but was l not one of them. I edged closer at night after bathing in a small river and feasting on wild fruits the whole day.

I find an abandoned black short dress in the streets a t night and put it on before l entered a certain building, at first it didn't occur to me that it was a bar.

The more steps l took the more the smell of alcohol , cigars and sex filled the air. I was mistaken to think it was inhabitated by humans.

I just wanted to feel warm and safe from the warriors from Madisonville Pack.

"Hey beautiful," came a voice from the a young handsome man sitting alone. I would have ignored him but his charming smile got me stuck for the few seconds l gazed at him.

"Don't you mind some company, you look lonely," he continued.

Before l could even answer, he quickly stood up, held my hand and led me to the empty seat next to him.

His body was chiseled and masculine. His eyes manifested nothing apart from confidence and superiority. The white set of pearl teeth behind those dominant lips kept me hypnotized and lost in his world.

After a few drinks l found himself in his masculine hands in a king sized comfy bed. I woke hours later to find myself naked and alone.

I just had a mighty one stand with a stranger l had no clue about his origin and Pack. I felt stupid as l sat up in bed and counted the problems awaiting for me.

He left a note on a piece paper l couldn't fathom no matter how hard l tried to. It had not occured to me that l was in a different pack.

I just wanted to be free , to breath the air as a commoner as l aimlessly strolled in the streets. "I guess you look familiar," someone said behind me as l relaxed under a tree.

I ignored and focused on the mirage of thoughts troubling my soul.

"I know you are tired, l can offer you a proper place to rest as you figure out whatever you trying to," she said as she stood before.

"My name is Eva."

I looked deep into her eyes and she smiled at me. That kind of smile meant to assure me that everything was well.

I had never seen her before, her curly hair was so perfect that it made her look like a model.

"Thanks , just mind your own business. Am good."

She kept silent for a while scanning me with her shockingly blue eyes. I wanted to walk away but something told me to stay.

"Look here... I know you are finding it hard to trust me. I was in your position some few years ago and l boldly took a step of faith. I risked my life to become who l am," she explained.

Part of insisted that l should follow her while another urged to follow her advise to wherever she wanted. After what seemed like the whole hour l decided to give in to her pleas.

May be she was god-send and the only opportunity for me to meet the young man l had a one night stand with the previous night.

I was either going to sink or sink forever...

She led me to a house some few meters from where l was sitting. It was similar to the pack house in Madisonville only that it was a bit small in comparison.

"You can take a shower if you feel like. I will be your host for as long you want me to. You are are welcome," she said.

"I will be having some guests in the afternoon but they won't bother you at all," she explained.

"Am grateful."

She left me alone in the affluent house and after an hour he came back in a jovial mood as she had left.

"My visitors are here..." She said as she pulled the wooden door. I wished l could just melt away like a piece of fat or dissappear through the walls.

I pitiful glanced at her and looked at the men standing in the door way. I hated myself for being so stupid and naive.

She just kept silent and smiled at me as l was okay.

"I had prepared something for you. You can have a meal with them first," she offered.

"The devil in a skirt! Good for nothing idiot!" I cursed as l almost threw the glass tumbler at her. Why was l too naive to believe her?

"You shouldn't be hungry with me. Don't you see l have helped you? Don't see l have such a big heart in me to have saved you from the streets?" She said sarcastically.

The men walked in one by one. They were six in number. I knew my goose had been cooked. The warriors from Madisonville Pack handcuffed and bundled into the back of jeep.

What awaited me was not so great. I was just going to continue with what l had started. I don't know how long we travelled.

I woke up to find myself in the dark dungeon. "Wow! How was your tour little loathsome brat," he said as he unlocked the door.
