She walked into the hospital with her shoulders slumped. Nothing had gone her way that day. Not only had she lost her job, but every company she had applied to had turned her away. Was she cursed? Now she truly regretted slapping her boss. why did she become so hot tempered? She should have politely refused his advances. That was a job so many people were dying for and she just threw it away. Being impulsive was her biggest flaw. Now she didn't know what else to do. 

She tried to cheer up because she didn't want little Kim to know what she was going through. She took the snacks she had bought into his room and when he saw her, he opened his arms and invited her for a hug. She was surprised but she happily hugged him.

He looked at her sadly and said “don’t pretend to be happy in front of me, I know you must be going through a lot, that's why I gave you a hug to encourage you. Don't worry once I get well, I will get a job and I will have so much money. I will take you around the world and buy you anything you want." 

She became touched by his words that tears trickled out of the corner of her eyes. She hugged little Kim and said, “I believe in you. I know you will do all that for me and many more so hurry up and get well okay.” He nodded happily and they ate the snacks together. " How's your new boss treating you?” He asked when she was about to leave. She smiled and said, " Well, he is strict but he is okay." Kim nodded, apparently satisfied with the answer she gave him. 

She left the hospital, feeling a lot happier after spending some time with Kim. However, the moment she entered her house, she was once again reminded of the fact that she was jobless and she couldn't help but blame herself for not being smart enough to handle a jerk like Damien. She stuffed her face with food hoping that she would feel a bit better but that didn't help. She decided to check online for job advertisements. She saw one that needed a sales girl and she said to herself, it's better to do something and earn peanuts than to do nothing and earn nothing.

She called the line and a very rude lady picked up the call. When she told the lady about her intention to work as a sales girl, she told her to put on something sexy and arrive early to start working the next day. She didn't say anything about signing a contract or how much she would be paid.

She felt it was suspicious and decided to look up the last worker's review online. To her surprise, what she saw were mostly complaints about not being paid for months but being overworked and sexually harassed. She cringed in disgust as she imagined herself breaking a customer's head because he tried to touch her big boobs.

She felt so frustrated and in the end closed her eyes and tried to sleep, unfortunately for her, she seemed to have become sleepless. This is going to be a really long night, she told herself. She woke up the following day feeling useless. She wondered if she should call Duke to help her find a job? She seriously thought about it but she feared that he would interpret it as Elena's greenlight. In the end, she just laid back on her bed turning and tousling while trying to figure out what to do with her life.

Damien 

He woke up with a smile on his face. He had come up with the perfect plan for Elena and he looked forward to implementing it. He deliberately arrived late, expecting to find her nervous and waiting for his judgment. To his dismay however, he didn't find her when he got to the agency. She didn't even turn up for work on her second day. Usually, he would have fired her without second thoughts but he had a plan and he wanted to see it through. So he had his manager call her and ask her to come to work immediately.

Elena

Her phone rang and she lazily picked it up, it was an unfamiliar number so she genuinely wished it wasn’t Duke. “Who is this?" She asked. “Good morning Miss Elena Calloway," the voice replied. “This is the manager of Starlight Entertainment Agency. I want to find out why you stayed away from work on your second day. There's so much to be done yet you're nowhere to be found. If you are no longer interested in working with us, I would suggest you turn in your resignation letter so that someone more willing to work can be hired.”

She immediately sat upright on her bed and quickly replied, “I'm so sorry sir, but I was under the impression that I'd been fired." He sighed," believe me Miss Elena, if the company wanted to fire you, a formal notice would have been passed to you. I suggest you get down here immediately. You are lucky the CEO is in a good mood today, otherwise,you would have been fired.” 

“Thank you very much sir”, she managed to say before jumping out of the bed.

She couldn't believe it. According to the CEO's personality,she was supposed to be fired. What could have made him change his mind? She thought. Was he planning something against her? Well, it didn't really matter to her. For now she was happy to be well employed. She would apologize for slapping him when she got to the office and do her best to avoid being alone with him.

When she got to the office, she realized she was getting weird looks from her colleagues. They probably looked down on her for being late on her second day but it wasn't really her fault so she cared less. The moment she entered her office, Damien's personal assistant came in and informed her that the CEO wanted to see her. “Well,I guess this is it," she told herself on her way to Damien's office.
