Chapter 9

The moment I stepped outside my room I was hit with a heavenly scent. It was the delicious smell of coffee. I raced down the stairs into the kitchen. Rosy was sitting at the table looking somber, but her face lit up when she saw me.

“ANNA!” She squealed, jumping up and wrapping me in a hug.

“Hey Rosy,” I chuckled. “Good to see you too!”

She pulled back, grabbing me by my shoulders, and looking into my eyes.

She gasped, “Your eyes look different!”

I gasped, “What’s wrong with them?”

She smiled, “Nothing is wrong per say, but your left eye is gold now. Like a bright vibrant gold.”

“So is yours!” I pointed out. “Your right eye is gold!”

I pulled out of her grip and we ran to the bathroom to look in the mirror. I saw my reflection and put my hand up to my face in shock. My left eye was gold, and it was pretty.

Rosy did the same. “What happened?” She wondered.

“I met the Moon Goddess,” I explained. “She said I would be a bit different when I came back. I guess this is what she me
