Chapter 10

“So you do handle more than the portal?” He wondered.

“We handle rogues that get too close,” I spoke while holding my coffee cup close.

“Any supernatural that poses a threat to us, humans, or anyone for that matter, we

handle. We’ve even handled vampires,” I mumbled the last part.

I never had the best impression of vampires. The Moon Goddess was right. Our parents never wanted us to be a part of the supernatural world. Normally we would have been raised knowing who and what we were, but we didn’t know till we were 7 years old.

Vampires had stumbled onto our property and our parents had been sleeping.

I had wanted something to drink and saw the movement out the window. When I went to run to my parents room, the front door flew off its hinges and knocked me back into the kitchen.

The sound of the door and my scream, had awoken my sister and my parents.

They dealt with the situation, but not before a vampire had gotten ahold of my mom. He
