Four

She was already walking back to the building after going to the 24/7 pharmacy to get his mother's medication, Camila's arrived at the apartment where she verified Mer's would be fine. She was glad to see her mother was sleeping peacefully, she put her medication on the dresser, where Mer’s can take it without any problem.

Camila's returned to the couch looking at the clock hanging on the wall, she would sleep a little less than four hours, she would barely have time to get ready to get to the café. Camila's thought of her mother asking for her forgiveness, surely if she knew what Camila was going to do she would kill her with disgust, but the omega promised that it would only be once, just once. Then she would look for an extra job and get out of her problems. Camila's didn't want this life for her.

She put on my coffee uniform after taking an awakening cold shower. Camila's had gone out very early to the supermarket, to buy some things for lunch. She prepare breakfast, some eggs Benedict with salmon and a latte for her mom and her, she had to eat well when the occasion allowed. The older omega is still sleeping, so Camila's keep the food inside the oven for her before leaving.

“Camila!” she heard Mrs. Colin's austere voice as she came out of her apartment.

“Here you go.” Camila took the envelope out of his jacket bag before, Mrs. Colin's said anything else and handed it to her, unlike what Camila thought, Mrs. Colin’s gawked and said nothing after that. Camila went downstairs cheerfully and even though she hadn't slept well, she felt upbeat, though all that cheer disappeared when she remembered how she had to pay the money Liam gave her.

Every time she remembered is, she forced herself to repress the feeling of guilt, disgust and disappointment she felt inside. Camila's know that sooner or later or rather, that day in the evening, she would have to face her reality.

Camila's walked straight to the café. Loris was already there, she was a friend from school who lived around there, she was a brown-haired omega with an almond smell, she went every morning for her coffee before going to work at the buffet where she was a receptionist. Sam is already setting up the tables before opening. Her boss and owner of the place greeted her as she entered.

“I'm glad you're here. Claudy is going crazy looking for yesterday's orders. Could you help her?” He asked her pleadingly, most likely the beta had already yelled at him for the loss of the little notebooks. Yes, the beta was Sam's wife and had a very high temper. Camila rolled her eyes. It was always the same with that woman.

“Don't worry.” She smiled at him and headed for her beloved boss's office.

Camila's found her with a mess all around her, papers scattered all over the floor, while she seemed to throw a tantrum right there. She ignored what Claudy was about to say and walked over to the small drawer in the corner, where Camila opened the last drawer taking out the orders and handed them to her nicely, she kept them there herself and if Camila hadn't seen them when Claudy did it, they would all be like she, at that moment.

The omega starts up, everything is ready, and little by little the customers are arriving.

“Good morning, what will you order?” She looked sideways at the men at the table.

He was studying the menu without looking up, Camila smelled the alpha in front of him, it was an exquisite sandalwood scent, it was curious why most of the alphas kept a peculiarly strong smell.

“Bring me an American coffee and a turkey sandwich without the trimmings” he said in his thick voice, bringing the omega out of his self-absorbed mind. He still wasn't looking at her. She wrote down his orders and took him to the kitchen, in a little less than ten minutes he returned to the table, already with his order in hand.

“Enjoy your meal,” Camilla said kindly. A gust of wind entered the place, making the alpha look up in search of that candy aroma that hypnotized him, meeting the beautiful omega.

“Wua!” he whispered. Now Camila could see him better, he was a handsome man with gray eyes, he seemed to be older, but not less attractive, maybe thirty or thirty-five years old, he was dressed casually with a navy blue dress shirt, fitted and black pants. The omega had been charmed by the alpha, who even took a while to answer.

“Excuse me?” she asked, confused.

“Do you work here?” He said with his thick voice while scrutinized Camila her from head to toe biting his lip, his attitude puzzled her.

“Yes” She pointed to her uniform, it was obvious. She was about to leave, it didn't seem right what she started to feel; however, the alpha stopped her by taking her hand. What was going on?

“What is your name?” he asked him, but she didn't think it was right to give him her name, even so she was about to give it to him when the alpha spoke again.

“You know what? You better give me your phone number and I don't know, you and I could meet up and meet at a motel.” He said.

Camila was dumbfounded, totally out of her mind. Was he proposing that she sleep with him? Did he think this was a brothel? The attraction she had felt for him vanished as quickly as he spoke. She wouldn't give him her name, let alone her number.

“You're one idiot.”

She let go of his hand, furious at his disrespect, and he just smiled shamelessly. Camila's strode off to the kitchen. What an alpha, not that he was so handsome to pretend that the omega would listen to him, and the truth was that he would, maybe Camila would have if he didn't propose to sleep with him on the first date.

“What's up Camila?” Claudy asked her when she looked at her, a little uneasy.

“That Alpha.” Camila's point to the table where the alpha is having breakfast calmly, as if nothing had happened. She didn't even want to remember him. “Can you believe he asked me to sleep with him!”

“Is he crazy? Wait here…” She was about to complain to him when Camila stopped her by the arm. She had forgotten how Claudy was when one of the customers behaved rudely.

“It's not necessary to yell and complain, you don't have to make the problem bigger.”

“If I were you, I'd stay where I am.” Sam said behind her back, and both girls turned around when they heard him. “That man…” He looked behind the girls. “He's a lookout. You have no idea who he is and if you value our lives at all you'd better stay away from him”.

Camila and Claudy looked at each other expectantly without understanding anything. They looked back at the mysterious alpha from a moment ago and did not think he was someone dangerous, Camila thought, apart from being an idiot, he looked totally normal.
