Flying high

Adina acted on pure instinct. She had a lot of pent-up anger toward the man, and her adrenalin was pumping. As she mind linked Sean and heard him roar downstairs, she flung her hand out and released her magic.

A surprised Brian was lifted off the floor and flung against the wall. He skidded along the wall until his head reached the ceiling. He stopped, still pinned to the wall, his neck cranked in an uncomfortable angel.

Sean roared into the room, looked at Adina and then at Brian, and grinned. He walked up to Adina.

“Are you okay, baby cake?” he asked, letting his hand run along her arm.

“I’m fine. He never got close enough to even breath on me,” Adina said, still feeling the rage.

“Are you going to let him down?” Sean asked.

“I don’t think so, not right now,” she answered and turned to Barbara.

“Barbara, I need you to mind link Colin and tell him to come back,” Adina smiled at her.

“But Brian,” Barbara said, not taking her eyes off her mate pinned to the wall.
