Lies against her

“Ahhhhh!! Ouch!!!! Rita winced, checking her elbow with a squinting expression.

Marko's action halted when he saw Rita on the floor.He only spared a glance at me and rushed to his sister.Though I wasn't stunned with his reaction anyways but still yet he should justify the situation in a good way I said inwardly.

He darted his gaze from Rita to me, with the glints in his eyes I grabbed that he has analyzed the situation and was going to blame me even though I wasn't at fault.Scratch that he wasn't going to say anything to my favour,to hell with his judgement.

What happened here?Why is Rita on the floor in pain? He queried.Moving his softened gaze from Rita to me.

Rita swayed her gaze over to me,flashing out a fake cry.she sniffled loudly using a handkerchief to dab her fake wet eyes. “Ecca” you should have just told me that you aren't feeling well to cook and not pushing me down.she said in her croaking voice.

“What”!!!! My brows snapped as I watched the drama unfold.

Marko's eyes widened in belief,ooh yes who wouldn't believe this pathetic liar with this action she just displayed.

As I watched her display her madness,I only came to a conclusion that she can be a great superstar if she can channel all her hatred energy attitude to any acting industry.I almost believed her tears too.

“Brother I only came to beg her to prepare breakfast for me” but she rained abuses on me,insulting our lineage and calling me a whore that I sleep with men old enough to be my father because of money.There is no abusive word she didn't use on me this morning” she grumbled.

You should have just told me politely that you won't prepare the breakfast and not using violences,at least working here should make you to stop acting rizz like a paupers……well I doubt that habit leaves the owner no matter what,”she mumbled in a shaking voice, standing up slowly.

I was really astonished with her acting.

“It's okay Rita, just go to the car and wait for me,I will come and drive you to the hospital”.makos told her as he glared at me,his gaze piercing like a dagger.I gulped uncomfortably as we stared at each other.I didn't need a seer to be told that it won't end well.

“Okay brother” Rita spurted out with a sinister smirk at the corner of her lips but not without giving me a look that said “you are a dead meat”.

I gulped down repeatedly.The atmosphere of the room wasn't helping matters,the room was filled with a cold and glaring aura emanating from Markos which sent a cold chill sensation and tons of fear down my spine.

His eyes were narrowed and his brows were not left out as it furrowed, casting a deep crease between his eyebrows.Marko's lips compressed into a thin line,his face reddened with rage. His eyes were filled with hatred and irritation as he moved towards me.

As Markos moved closer to me,I took a few steps backwards as my heart thumped harder and louder.it almost jumped out from its space.

“What happened?!!,why did you do that?" He asked in a whisper.

“I…shhh..shhhe .. she's lying I didn't push her,she was just displaying an act”,I stuttered.moving backwards as my back meets the wall.

“Rita slapped you? " he asked as he raised one of his eyebrows and I nodded sheepishly thinking he was going to believe me because of his countenance.

But I was astonished when he chuckled briefly.I guess you have moved from a desperate leech to a professional liar.He halted….. and turned his head to the other side of the room when the harsh stench of alcohol wafted in his nostril.with a scrunched nose, he turned and swayed his eyes over the bedroom.

He snorted afterward “you are no just a leech and professional liar but also a drunkard”Wow!! He shouted with disappointment written all over his face,this was not what I wanted.

I was still trying to gain his trust,I shouldn't make him have more misconceptions about me.

“It's not what you think Markos”, I was forced to drink myself to stupor a few hours ago because the little food that was given to me I wanted to keep for my son.I explained hoping that he would believe me. I was scared that this might increase the anger and hatred he had for me thereby casting me far away.

“How do I trust you again? You that it’s only misbehaving that you are filled with”he said still have the look of doubt written all over his face.

As he was still trying to say something Rita's voice came up again beckoning his brother to come and take him to the hospital ..The little devil made it too difficult for me to convince Markos.

His thundering voice came up again, “just pray she doesn't sustain any serious injury or else you will have me to contend with”. And he walked out of the room.

Just as he walked out,Ophelia mistakenly bumped into him.

With a mocking smirk on her face, glaring at me so hard. “Oooh Lord from one problem to another occurrence” I grumbled in a low voice.I didn't need a seer to tell me she was going to serve it so hot for me.

Ophelia glided into the room,her long strides eating up the distance, Her shoulders were back and head held so high.she was giving a calm composure and a serene smile on her lips.

The soft rustle of her silk dress accompanied her movement , elaborating an air of elegance and posture.

“Ooooh wow” what do we have here? Her voice sounds melodious and smooth as if she wasn't a devil incarnate once she starts her maltreatment.

When I couldn't respond immediately,her scowling expression contrasted sharply opposing her composure demeanor.

“Can you remember the one of the rules I gave you”? 

“I told you that your priority should be concerning your work.”

“You shouldn't interact with my husband".

I don't care what situation was at hand,but you have crossed your line Ecca.

The room fell silent,as I peered my eyes up to take a glance at Ophelia .The tension was palpable,but Ophelia seemed unfazed,her regal presence commanding attention and authority.

I didn't know the perfect answer to give,in order not to fuel up her anger.

I was just standing there shivering in fear for the worst not to happen,I really needed the job to pay my son's hospital bill.

Standing still,my head down and muttering a few prayers inwardly.

“Terminating your job won't be bad right”, Ophelia asked with a broad mocking smirk.Because the havoc you have caused is quite irritating.

“Not just interacting with my husband”

But you are creating a mess in my home, just take a look at how everywhere is racking of alcohol she spurted with anger.

When I heard termination,I hurriedly kneel down to apologize to her.This wasn't a time to control my emotions but to pour it out, hoping to gain her forgiveness.
