"Leo," I giggle as he drags me up onto the stage in our back yard. There are two white smoke bombs on the table and two lighters next to it. That's right we found out we were having twins when I was nearly three months. It's still hard to wrap my head around. "Calm down," I say, "not everyone is ready. We still need to announce it."
"They are right there Ana!" He smiles as he points to the smoke bombs.
"Go to the mic and tell everybody we are going to announce it," I give in, letting go of his hand. He quickly goes to the mic and gets everyone's attention.
"Hey everyone," he says into the mic, "we are going to reveal the genders now." Everyone claps as he comes back to the table. "Are you ready?" He asks me and I nod my head. We both light the lighters and put them to the wick of the smoke bombs. It reaches the bottom of the wick after a couple seconds and smoke starts to come out of them.
"Boys!" I squeal as I hug Leon. He hug
I love November. The weather is cool, which means I get to wear my sweaters, and the colors are gorgeous. Plus Leon is getting me hot chocolate this morning and I'm excited. He gets me it every Tuesday and Thursday morning, which is also the days he stays home from work. Mom isn't letting me work and my assistant is in charge, seeing as my mom is out of the country for the time being. "Love, I'm back!" I hear Leon call from the bottom of the stairs. I roll out of bed, which takes a few minutes. My stomach is so freaking huge it looks like I've stuffed two watermelons under my shirt. I'm around five weeks from my due date and I'm so excited. "Give me a minute!" I shout as I get off my bed. My walk, is basically a waddle now that my stomach is so freaking big. Leo got me the most comfortable shoes that I ever worn because me feet look like sausages. Slowly making my way down the stairs, I put as much weight as I can on the hand rail. "Took you
--> Three weeks later "This is your home," Bianca coos as she sets down Alec's carrier in his room. I follow in right behind her carrying Octavian in his car seat, "I think you'll both love it here." I roll my eyes at my wife and she picks up Alec, me doing the same with Octavian. Alec had a rough first week but these past two weeks have been great. The doctors think he may be deaf in his right ear but they can't tell for sure yet. "Let's get them fed and ready for bed," I tell Bianca, "the doctor's said you need to get on a feeding schedule." "Ok dad," she jokes as she goes to the rocking chair. I kiss Octavian's head before giving him to Bianca. The nurses, back at the hospital, spent quite a bit of time teaching her how to breast feed the babies. They taught her how to feed them both as well which is a plus for me. "Can you go make me some hot chocolate?" Bianca asks once she is situated with both babi
Bianca's POV: "My little babies are one!" I squeal as I pick up Octavi from his play pen. He smiles at me but looks down to his brother right after. Leon scoops up Alec and the two boys smile at each other. "Don't squeal too loud," Leon reminds me, "Alec's hearing is really sensitive." I always forget, which makes me feel so sorry. His right ear has no hearing but his left does, it's just super sensitive. "Sorry buddy," I say to Alec and he starts to babble on, "I'm so glad the party is over." "So am I," Leon sighs in relief, "who knew two one year old parties could be so stressful." "Now we know what to expect next year," I tell him, "one more year until November 5. You two aren't allowed to age anymore." Alec giggles and starts going 'Tav'. "He said Tav! Leo! Say it again baby boy!" Leon switches the babies in our arms and I smile at my son, "Is Tav your brother? Yes he is!" "Tav T
"Mom!" I run to the living room, after I turned the stove off. I was trying to make pancakes for my children but how can I do that in peace? "What is it Selena?" I ask as I see her chasing her brothers around the living room. Selena Phyllis is thirteen years old. Her eldest brothers, Octavian and Alexander, love to pick on her. "They took my phone again mom!" She exclaims as she jumps over the couch to try and cut of Octavian. "Boys give it back," I say sternly and they look up at me. "We just wanna know who-" Alec starts "Drew is mom," Octavian finishes as he twirls the phone in his hand. I hold my hand out and raise an eyebrow at the two, "now. You two are going to be grounded from the car for two weeks and no leaving this house for any reason besides school." They both groan and hand me the phone. I give it to Selena who runs up to her room to escape her brothers. "You two are eighteen," I scold t
"Dinner is ready!" I yell to my kids who are all playing with the new puppy and kitten we got. It was a birthday gift for me, from Leo. My two eighteen year olds come in first, one carrying Nara on their back and the other carrying Selena. Miles comes in after them, the dog and cat chasing him. Leo really just wanted another dog after Max died a couple years ago. So he finally got the excuse to get one. I can't really be mad at him for it, they are so cute! "Smells delicious love," Leon smiles as he pecks my lip. "Thanks," I smile up at him, "I really wanted this dinner to be good." "I told you that I could've made it," Leon chuckles as the kids pile food on to their plates, miles helping Nara. "It is your birthday." "Then you can feed the animals for me," I reply and walk towards the table. "You already did!" Leon jokes back and I roll my eyes. "Momma?" Nara asks and I look down at her, "why can't T
Two years later "Is he really coming back home?" I ask Alec with a large smiling spreading across my face. "Not for long though," Alec tells me, "a couple weeks, a month at the most." "My baby boy is finally coming back home!" I squeal and hug Alec, so tight that he starts gasping for air. "Don't tell anyone else," he says, "I already told Dad but that is it. He wants it to be a surprise." I nod, my giddy smile never leaving my face. Octavian enlisted into the navy right out of high school. He started right at the beginning of August that year and came back home that Christmas. I haven't seen him since, it's been a long year, well a little more, it's May now. "Aly is going to be so excited!" I exclaim and run to the kitchen, "when is he coming home?" "I believe tomorrow," Alec says and I give him wide eyes, "he told me to tell you last minute. I'm following orders here." I roll my ey
—> Octavian's POV: I'm home a day later than planned. It's Saturday night and I haven't seen my family yet but there is something important I have to do. It's been a year and a half practically since I've seen anyone I loved in person. Alec knows I'm back but that's because I texted him, letting him know where I'll be. He understood and gave me the best of luck. I haven't had time to change out of my uniform. I was going to at least change into something where I won't get stared at but I don't care right now. My hands are a little sweaty, not quite sure how they'll react to seeing me after so long. When the doors open it squeaks and I cringe at the sound. I walk down the hall and open the next set of doors. A few people look at me as the see me enter but no one really pays attention. I look around the room to try and find the person I'm looking for and I get tackled in a hug. I'm startled at first but then I r
Alec's POV: The last time I went to a club was six months ago. My friends try to drag me to every party they hear about but I stay at my place. Six months ago I met a girl at this club. Jaden Driggs. She was the most gorgeous girl I've ever seen. Long wavy light brown hair, bright green eyes, the greatest smile I've ever seen. I can't believe that I met her at a club. She looks like a girl who would never go out. Anyway, I can't stop thinking about her and it's fucking up my head. It isn't helping because finals are soon then I'm graduating college, then I'm getting ready to take over dad's business. Octavian is back, which helps. He's back for a whole year now, and it can be extended to two. Aly and him are getting married in a few weeks, June second. I know Octavian is ecstatic, especially since Aly made this choice. He figured they wouldn't get married until we were almost thirty, but here he is at twenty-two getting married.
