After our kiss, things seemed to have shifted, mostly in me. I saw this as an opportunity to have fun.

I was not open to anything more than traveling with him and some fun dates.

But the kiss left me longing for more. I wanted more than just to travel and kiss.

But Brian remained respectful, apart from occasionally making out with me; he didn’t ask for much.

The whole trip was refreshing and fun. I got to watch Trisha break down while enjoying massages and expensive wines.

I returned to the apartment the day before Miles, who returned on Tuesday. He seemed excited when he came back, like he just had the time of his life.

“You seem excited. Was the business trip that fun?” I asked mockingly.

He was flustered for a while, guilt washing over his face, which was turning white.

“Relax, I am not opposed to the fun you might have had; we are in an open relationship, remember,” I said with a smirk, “I am glad you're no longer depressed.”

Before he could respond, a loud bang on the door sounde

Brian was a man of many talents, one of which I was lucky enough to find out fully.I wondered why this man was even single in the first place. He was handsome, rich, and very talented on the sheets.“You have been ogling at me for a while; do you want too much of me or something?” Brian said teasingly.“I was just wondering?” he gave me a look, waiting for me to voice out my thoughts.“Why are you single?” I ask curiously, and he lets out a soft chuckle.“You, of many people, would know why,” he said, “you were my therapist for three years.”Well, yes, he had irrational fears of being a terrible partner or, better yet, being too obsessive, but he was not obsessive. He was very attentive, and he respected my boundaries very well, and he knew the importance of consent. The problem we have been tackling for over three years seems like a non-issue now that I can see his dating style. “Well, I don’t think any of the problems you came to see me for are a problem now; you have even gained

Though she was angry at Miles, to conceal their involvement with each other, Trisha had to console me while I acted angrily.“Oh…. Come on, you are in an open relationship, why are you acting all sad?” Amina taunted arrogantly.“No…. I…... Ellie, I am so sorry,” Miles said frantically.“Don’t you dare start with your sob stories, you promised me, Miles, you promised you would not bring anyone back to our apartment.” My acting was quite promising.“I am sorry, Ellie, it will not happen again,” he angrily glared at Amina, who was getting ready to make yet another arrogant statement. She quickly bowed her head and apologized pitifully, “I am sorry, it was my fault, it will never happen again.”“You think that sorry excuse for an apology will work? You trifling little vixen,” Trisha finally burst, attacking Amina.“I…... I can't do this,” I said, ignoring the brawl and running out of the apartment.Miles tried running after me, but Amina pulled him back, screaming at him to help her.Bria

The week was quite entertaining. Trisha was monitoring Miles’ every move; he didn’t have time to galivant with his concubines, so he was well-behaved.Which didn’t bother me because Brian had been busy, so this was enough to entertain me for now.“Trish, you are here again,” I said, amused. She looked a bit uncomfortable. She had been waiting for Miles outside our apartment for over an hour.I had told both her and Miles that I would be late, and they seemed to have both used this as an opening for their affair. But it seems they both made a miscalculation, because soon, Miles would be walking through that door with his beloved.“Come in, Trish,” I said, unlocking the door, “we haven’t talked in a while; my work has been keeping me too busy.”Though uncomfortable, she managed a bitter smile and followed me in. I had happily sat with her on our couch and pried about her life.“So, what brought you here so early?” I asked nosily, “You know I was supposed to end work late; you wouldn’t h

Brian was very relentless in his pursuit; he would send flowers every day and take me on a date every day after work. The very week I started going on dates with Brian, Miles went on a business trip. That trip was a very fun trip for me.Because it was the trip where Trisha saw a different side of Miles, with my investigation, I discovered that Trisha didn’t know about Miles’ other conquest. She had been blindly sneaking around with this man, ready to ruin our friendship because she thought he loved her so much.Brian had taken me to a resort out of town when I received a frantic call from Trisha.“Ellie, are you not home? "I have been knocking for a while now,” she said, trying her best not to sound panicked, but I could see her pacing around foolishly on the doorbell camera.“No, I have been out of town for a while,” I said unamusedly, “sorry I forgot to tell you, is everything okay?”“No, nothing is okay,” she said. I saw her type something on her phone, and soon, multiple images g

He had driven me around, telling me stories, fun stories. He was not as nosy as he was this morning, which made me feel comfortable.“You are not prying?”“I don’t want to scare you off. You are going through a lot, and even if I don’t understand the hurt, I want to be there for you.”“You don’t have to be there for me, Mr. Beckett, you are….”“Your patient? Me?” he said, “I requested a transfer.”“What? Why would you do that? Did I do something to make you want to change therapists?”He stopped the car at a red light and looked at me, “I want you, and I hate that you are using the fact that you're my therapist to stop me from pursuing you. I am going to pursue you now, and you will not have a single excuse.”His words made a proud therapist, because they proved it was working; he was not afraid to pursue someone because he feared that he would be deemed as creepy.I just feared he was pursuing the wrong person. “You could get any woman you want, Brian. Don’t sell yourself short.”“Is
