Chapter 4

Tera ek assu Dil ke tukre kar deta hain 

Tera ek muskan tute dil ko Jor deta hain 

Teri khushi mein hi meri khushi 

Teri Gam mein mera Gam

Time flowed by but khwaish could not gather the courage to express her feelings towards Ekansh.

On her 21st birthday Her parents decided to arrange a grand party to celebrate it and after it they decided to go on a trip to Maldives.

Maldives is her favourite place to go.

She decides to tell Ekansh about her feelings when she will come back from her trip.

She thought that she would make it a joke if he didn't accept it. At least her friendship will be saved.

In their back her parents are planning something. Khwaish can sense it but whenever she asks them something they always change the topic. 

The day of her birthday came she was happy but it didn't last when Ekansh came with Laisha as his girlfriend. She was heartbroken but she didn't show it. 

She was smiling brightly and congratulated him as well. 

Sanket was watching everything he knew her Feelings for his brother. If he wanted he would have told Ekansh about it but he didn't want to make it awkward for khwaish. 

The day after her birthday she left with her parents to enjoy. 

But when she was coming back from there they met with an accident. 

In the accident Her parents died. khwaish survived but she fell in Coma. 

Sanket and his family were devastated. First her parents and now she is in a coma. 

Ekansh, Sanket and Mishika could not handle her situation. She is their best friend who is laid like a dead body. Sanket was broken beyond repair; he always prayed for her. 

1 year passed but khwaish didn't wake up. They all were losing hope. But Ekansh and Sanket weren't ready for it. 

It was like magic that she one day woke up from her coma. 

Sanket was the first person who met her after she was awake. 

"How are you Khwaish?" Sanket asked holding his tears with a lots of effort 

"I'm fine. But why am I here? What happened? Where is mom and dad?" Khwaish asked him making him froze 

"Khwaish do you remember when you go on A trip with your parents?" Sanket asked 

"Yes I do, oh I remember we met with an accident. How is mom and dad? Are they OK? And where are others? I thought they will be here in this situation," Khwaish said 

"Khwaish it's one year ago's incident. You were in a coma for 1 year. And uncle and auntie didn't survive it." Sanket dropped the bomb

"no, it is not true. You're lying to me, please tell me its a joke, please," Khwaish said crying and got hiper 

The doctors came and asked Sanket to go outside. They give her an injection to calm her. 

All of Sanket's family was there. 

All were happy yet worried for khwaish. 

After Khwaish again got her senses back she started to cry and scream. Ekansh's mother comforted her but it's like she wasn't ready to accept it. Finally when Ekansh came and talked with her she calmed a little. In all this only Ekansh was able to calm her. 

They discharged her from the hospital and took her to Ekansh's house. 

Khwaish was still weak and needed care. 

Ekansh was there for her and Sanket made his distance from her. 

3 months passed like that. Ekansh was stuck with khwaish like glue.

"Ekansh why don't you spend time with Laisha? You're with me from when I came here," Khwaish said

It hurt her to say this but she has to be practical.

"no I don't need to because we broke up," Ekansh said

"what? Why?" Khwaish asked him

"because we both are getting married," Ekansh dropped the bomb on her

"what? Ekansh it's not a topic to joke about," Khwaish said knowing very well the effects it will leave on her heart

"I'm not joking khwaish. We both are getting married. I want to marry you. Our parents were arranging it before your birthday Secretly. But everything was ruined after the incident. Now you're better so we can go ahead with it." Ekansh said seriously 

It was a lot for her to digest. She wasn't expecting this to come like it. 

" don't you want to marry me khwaish? "Ekansh asked her 

" don't you love Laisha? "Khwaish asked back 

" it doesn't matter, you're my future and that's what matters. Now tell me do you want to marry me or not? " Ekansh said 

" I loved you for a long time Ekansh but I never got the chance to confess. I didn't have any idea about the marriage thing. But if you're happy I'm ready to marry you but Is it only because of the alliance that our parents did? "Khwaish asked 

" not only that but I realised that I like you and you're my best friend and what more I can ask? "Ekansh said with a smile 

Khwaish felt like her life is complete now. Her parents had left her but they gave her Ekansh whom she loved. 

All family members were happy to know about it. They all were well aware of it. 

They fixed their marriage after 6 months. Everyone was happy so was Sanket. 

He knew it was coming one day or another. 

He only played along with the drama but he was broken from inside. 

He planned to go away from here but it will only make Khwaish suspicious of nothing else. 

It is the day of her engagement. She has got ready in a blue lehenga with golden work. She wore matching jewellery as well. 

"wow Khwaish you're looking beautiful," Mishika said

"don't you think you should start calling me bhabhi?" Khwaish teased her

"yeah I should but I won't until you're married," Mishika said showing her tongue to her

"Wow, someone is on a killing spree today isn't it?" Sanket asked khwaish as he enter her room 

"yeah I was going to say it. Girls will drool over you and kill each other to get your attention," Khwaish said 

"yeah very funny." He said 

"jisse dekhna tha usne to andekha kar dia bakio ko dekhne ka kya phaida? (whom should see she just ignored me what's the point to get noticed by others?)"? He thought 

"Well I want to talk to my dear friend alone can I?" he asked looking at Mishika 

"yes I'm done anyway you go ahead," Mishika said and left 

"are you happy?" Sanket asked her 

"are you kidding me? I'm super happy. Finally the man I love is going to be mine, what more can I ask?" She said smiling 

"for this smile I will do anything. Don't worry you will find me with you every step of your life if my that idiot brother ever hurt you just tell me I will beat him for you," Sanket said with a fake smile 

"I will now give me a hug my devar ji. ( brother in law)" She said and hugged him 

Sanket took her downstairs for the engagement. He give the ring to her by himself. Where Enaksh is waiting for his bride. He wore an orange kurta with Nehru coat. 

"If you ever hurt her remember I'm here for her. One chance to take her away from you I will take her away," Sanket said seriously but with a smile all thought its a joke except Mishika who knows the truth
