Before Jack could adjust and break the hug, their eyes met, and he increase his speed toward them, Jack break the hug before Briana's Dad could finally reach where they are standing

"And who is he," Briana's Dad asked and Briana turns back immediately as she was frightened a little bit

"Dad" he's my boss

"Good evening sir" Jack greeted and bow his head as he is staring continuously at him, he clears her throat and finally utter a word after everyone went silent

"Good evening my son" and thanks for the money you borrow us, we are grateful

Jack was confused, he look at Briana and she blink at him to affirm what her Dad says

"No problem sir, is the least I can do"

"And do you like my daughter "

"Dad"...

"It's okay Briana, yes I do sir "

"Hummmmmm…..great okay I would sit over there" pointing in one direction

They remain silent for some minutes staring at each other

"Am sorry for my Dad's.,...

"No, it's okay, I understand"

"Thank you"

"You are welcome"

They stay at the hospital for some hours, and Briana has to fall asleep in Jack's arms, immediately the doctor opens the theater room and heads out, Her Dad stands up to go and meet him,

"Briana, wake up, I think the surgery is done"

Jack said tapping Briana, She quickly stand up and she look around, and saw her Dad approaching the doctor

"Dad" she calls out to her Dad and they both walk towards the doctor.

They reach where the doctor was standing

"The operation is a success"

Both Briana and her Dad hug each other and look excited and released

"Can we see her now?" She asked

"No, she is under observation for the next 24 hours, and after that, you can see her "

"Alright, thank you, doctor "

"You are welcome, excuse me," the doctor said and leave

Jack approaches them and congratulates them

Briana was looking so pale as if she has never eaten anything since morning, and she is sweating profusely as both Jack and her Dad were staring at her because they notice something is wrong

"Are you okay?" they both asked in a chorus at the same time

She looks at both of them and uses her palm to wipe away her sweat

"You have not eaten since morning, am I right," Jack asked

"Yes"

"What, do you want to injure yourself, this is the last 6"

Her Dad stays silent and stares at Jack as she showers her daughter with love and care

"Briana go and get something to eat, and don't come back again, go home from there and I will stay here with your mum," Her Dad said

"But Dad" No objection, just do as I say, you need some rest, and remember you are still going to work tomorrow so you need to rest well."

"Yes Briana, I think your dad is right, let's go, I will take you to a restaurant closer by" Jack chorus

"Alright Dad, take care of yourself " and take this in case you need anything for the night, pointing some cash to her dad and he collects it

"Thank you, my daughter"

"Alright Dad" Bye

"Bye"

"Good night sir"

"Alright my son, thank you, for staying by my daughter's side at this period, I appreciate you "

"It's nothing, sir, is the least I could do, take care, sir"

Both Briana and Jack walk out of the hospital as her dad stares at both of them, he is somehow looking surprised and happy at the same time, and he keeps wondering how a billionaire like Jack could be so concerned about her daughter

As soon as they approach the car, Briana wants to open the front door but Jack ordered her to come and seat beside him, reminding her of the contract,

They both enter the car and zoom off

"And have you also eaten since morning, " Briana asked

"No" Since you are not at the office, nobody knows what I would eat

"Am sorry sir"

"Why sorry, I am also busy with my phone. That's why I didn't know the time went by so fast.

"They finally arrived at a nearby restaurant and they both came down from the car,"

Jack stares at the restaurant as soon as he comes down, because this restaurant is Beatrice's (his ex-fiancee's) best restaurant, and As he stares all those memories flash through her head.

Jack was putting blue jeans with a red top and Beatrice was sitting close to him, wearing blue jeans and a small bikini top

"Oh.. am so starving," Beatrice said as she enjoy the food she is eating

While Jack stares at her,

"you must be a really hungry baby"

"Yes, you know I didn't eat at home because you told me we are coming to this place after your meeting "

Jack join Beatrice as they both eat together, they exchange spoon,

"Promise me that when we eventually married, you still take me to a nice restaurant like this baby"

Jack smile and replied her

"Yes my love, definitely"

And both kiss

BACK TO REALITY

Briana understands what's happening

"We can go to another restaurant if you are not comfortable here," Briana said and Jack was startled immediately, he's gone and after hearing Briana he come back to life,

"Oh!! Am sorry, just remember something, let's go inside "

"Are you sure"

"Yes, of course, am okay

They both enter the restaurant and take a sit

A male server approach them and asked them what they want to eat

They both choose something from the menu book

"Alright sir"

The food is ready and they were served, just about when they started eating, Two lovers bird just enter the restaurant holding hands and everyone was staring at them, at first Jack does not want to stare but couldn't help himself as the crowd are saying wao, wao

The couples were backing them so they don't know who they are,

Jack was thinking that the bag the lady was carrying looked exactly like the one he got for Beatrice some months back but he quickly cautioned himself

"No am overthinking "

"Are you okay sir"

"Yes of course" They continue with their food and the two lovebirds approved the sit beside them,

"Jack"

Jack hears the voice and know is Beatrice's voice, but he's thinking is not real

Briana, look at Beatrice and greeted her but she ignore her as if she never exist

"Jack" she called out the second time and Jack turn to the side and saw her

"Beatrice, where have you been"

"Have missed you, baby"

He was about to hug her, then her boyfriend interfere and hold Beatrice back

"Hey master, can't you see she is moving on already, and you are still there saying rubbish"

"It's okay baby," Beatrice says calming her boyfriend down,

"And for your information am now her new boyfriend, so can you excuse us"

Jack was standing there so helplessly and feeling ashamed of himself as everyone was staring at the scenario

Beatrice and her boyfriend took sir and they are sitting next to their table

Take your seat, sir, Briana said

He sat down for some moments but the lovey-dovey that Beatrice and her new boyfriend are doing was killing him slowly, he stood up and was about living the restaurant

"Please eat your food, I will wait for you in the car"

"And are you already leaving," Beatrice's boyfriend asked and both Beatrice and Briana look at each other while Jack stand there to process what is happening

"And are you going out with your secretary now," Beatrice asked showing a disgusting face at Briana

"Oh!! You stoop so low, I don't know you are this desperate to get married"
