The Leave

Three days passed, at present, the mother was ill and unconscious. Her little daughter Loathefiya sat all day beside her waiting for the looks of mother and at night the maids would return her to bed.

While lying in worry, she said, "Naha where are you?. I am scared".

A young girl name Naha was her best friend ever she knew for this child. She would play with her nonstop and always accompanied her when her mother was busy.

But, then one day, everything changed without a single Warning.

At night, the girl would always read a story for Loathefiya. She read

"Once upon a time, two boys were living happily together. They played together, studied together and the most special thing was they played flute together".

Loathefiya got up and said "Just like us right, Naha" Naha nodded.

and continued "But, one day while they were walking together. They entered a jungle. The jungle has very scary voices. They were afraid. Suddenly, a bat came and scared them so that they both got separated".

"NO!" Loathefiya got up again.

Again she laid Naha while continuing, "The boys were very scared but, an idea hit on one of them's mind. He took out the flute and began to play it. He played, played, and played till he heard a herb moving. He got scared and stopped. Then, from the shrubs, his brother came out. They met each other, went home running back and they stayed together forever.

The End".

Loathefiya asked, "Will we both stay together always?"

Naha caught her tightly and hugged her. She said, "Yes we will always be".

Slowly, the little girl fell asleep on her a warm hug. Naha kept her on the pillow and wore her blanket. She gave her a night kiss and offed the big light, turning one a baby lamp and sat with her.

The door got knocked on.

She went and answered it and saw a maid standing. "Yes what is it?" she asked.

The maid said "Madam and Sir are calling you they are in the living room" She went away sadly.

The babysitter was suspicious of the fellow's emotion and thought, "I wonder what is it?".

She came out and went downstairs, straight to the living room, and saw the Mister and Mistress sitting, having tea. She knocked on the door and came inside. The Father saw her and asked, "Is Loathefiya asleep?"

"Yes, sir she is asleep tight and well".

He nodded and then took out a bundle of money and threw it at her near her feet. She picked it up and asked, "Money for what sir?"

The Mother said, "Take your payment and get lost from the house right now".

Naha grew confounded, "but why Madam?" she asked "What did I do?"

The Mother said, "You did an acceptable act and that is you made our child separate from us".

The girl got terrified, trembling, confused and said "But Madam I.....?"

"GET LOST!" shouted the Mister rudely, her heart's feelings broke.

The Mother said, "Go away we don't need you to fool".

The girl was defenseless and nothing could stand by her, even her job didn't take her side, all she replied smiling "Thanks for making me work here. I was so glad goodbye Sir and Madam. Now excuse me" she went away by closing the door.

"What a crazy girl?" the Mother said "Thank goodness she will be gone" the Father laughed.

Naha walked to her and took out her suitcase.

She packed it, prepared herself, and left it out.

When she came to the door "Naha!" she heard from behind looking back and saw a maid standing staring at her surprisingly.

Running to her and asked "Where are you going? What is all this preparation for and what is this suitcase?"

Naha was quiet for a while, then she said "I am fired so I am leaving for my home" She turned to the door and opened it.

"And what about the child you cared for years?" the maid asked. Naha stopped in sadness "Will you leave like this without seeing her or saying her goodbye?"

Naha's eyes got in mist and she said "Please tell her that the rainy season is about to start so take care of yourself and don't let cold catch you. Say her my greetings and care......bye" and she went out.

The maid said sadly "Poor girl good bye" She then closed the door.

Naha left away from the gate, crying nonstop, covering her mouth with her hand and tears floating on it, and said "Loathefiya I am sorry if I left you without your knowing....... I am sorry that we can never stay together. Goodbye my friend forever my girl" and she continued crying.

The next morning, Loathefiya woke up late than usual. She looked around and thought "Why didn't my big sister Naha come for waking me up?" she got down off the bed and readied herself. She ran quickly outside and began searching for her in the big house.

At first, she thought that Naha was playing so she began finding her happy. Then slowly she started to grow worried and started to weep. She cried opening the doors of every room and called

"where are you? I can't bear it."

She came to her Father and Mother in the living room and hugged her saying "Mommy, where is Naha? I am looking for her everywhere for a long time".

The Mother answered, "Naha left the house and she will never come back".

Loathefiya cried "But, why didn't she tell me?"

Her Father said, " Loathefiya don't disturb! She went means she went. Now you also go out".

Loathefiya cried and said, "Mommy! Please bring her back, I want her".

Her Mother scolded "Quiet Loathefiya go out bad girl, she is not one among us and not your sister then why do we need to keep her?" Loathefiya got down and quietly went out.

The Mother said, "I don't know what kind of spell she used on her that she needs her more than us".

The Father nodded adding good thing she is away.

Loathefiya went and sat alone in the garden with her doll, "Naha always use to say to me that we shall stay together forever. And sometimes she uses to promise me too but, why did she break all those words and left back. I want her I miss her Naha" she held her doll tightly around herself and began to cry.

She refused to take breakfast or play around.

She didn't even choose to color which was her favorite or attend for studies.

She stayed in her place all day and drank a glass of milk at night and went to bed.

That time played in the little child's mind, bringing tears to her cheering eyes. The happy and cheering girl was now turning pale.
