Chapter 9

Dialouges used in the chap is taken from the film ai dil hai muskil 

Mehak's pov 

I looked at Kiaan sir who Is looking at me with amused face. 

He asked me to come towards by doing gesture with his hand. 

Mehak you're so dead he must have caught you making faces. 

Slowly I go towards him and stand before him. 

"So you're the waitress right who bumped with me?" he asked me and I looked at him with shock 

How does he remember it? 

"Yes or no?" he asked and I nodded my head not trusting my own voice 

"hmm so Ms. What is your name?" he asked me 

He really asked me my name or I'm dreaming? I pinched myself and it hurts means I'm not dreaming 

"Mehak Avasthi sir," I said slowly 

"Ms. Mehak I noticed you glaring at those girls who are very poor in acting, and by your expression I can say you were thinking you can do better then them so want to try?" he asked 

But he asked me or mocked me that's the question? 

"tell me Ms. Mehak want to try?" he asked me 

"Yes sir," i replied with confidence this time 

"very well take the script it had few dialogues in different emotions yet similar. You will do it with me." He said and hand me a script 

Is it really happening or I'm dreaming? 

Kiaan mehrotra want to take my test? It's like a dream come true for me. 

I nodded my head and look at the script. 

The script has all dialogues from film Ai dil hai mushkil I do not own any of its copyright. 

Once I'm done reading them I go near him. 

"done? "he asked looking at his watch 

" Yes sir, "i replied 

" then start the process, "he said and I nodded 

" Pyar cancer ki tarah hota hai ... bin bulaye aa jaata hai aur maarke chala jaata hai

(Love is like cancer ... it comes without an invitation and it kills us and leaves) " I said the lines looking at his eyes 

" Dare hue log aksar alfazon ke peeche chupte hai

(People who are scared often hide behind words) " he said his own lines 

" Kisi ne kabhi aapko suddenly chaata mara hai ... phaat ... us chaante ko ishq kehte hai ... aur woh chaanta aur zor se padta hai jab koi teesra aa jaata hai

(Has someone ever suddenly slapped you ... one tight slap ... that slap is called as love ... and you feel more hurt from that slap when a third person comes in between) " I said my lines 

" Ek tarfa pyar ki taqat hi kuch aur hoti hai ... auron ke rishton ki tarah yeh do logon mein nahi bat'ti ... sirf mera haq hai ispe

(The power of one sided love is unique ... it doesn't get distributed into two, as it happens in the relationships of others ... only my right is there on it) " he said his lines

" Aasaan hai kya aisi mohabbat karna ... jiske badle mohabbat na mile

(It's not easy to be in love ... when you don't get love back in return) 

Main kisi ki zaroorat nahi ... khwaish banna chahti hoon

(I don't want to be someone's need ... I want to be someone's desire)" I said all of my lines correctly with emotions 

" Har shayara ko shaadi kar leni chahiye ... shohar achcha mile toh zindagi achchi kat jaati hai ... na mile toh shayari achchi ho hi jaati hai

(Every poetess should get married ... if you get a good husband then life is well spent ... if not, then atleast your poetry improves) " he said with a lots of emotional like all of its coming from his heart 

He is not a superstar for nothing. 

" Jab pyar mein pyar na ho ... jab dard mein yaar na ho ... jab aansoon mein muskaan na ho ... jab lafzon mein zubaan na ho ... jab saansein bas yoon hi chale ... jab har din mein raat dhale ... jab intezar sirf waqt ka ho ... jab yaad us kambhakht ki ho ... kyun hoon main raahi jab woh hai kisi aur ki manzil ... dhadkano ne saath chhod diya ... ae dil hai mushkil, ae dil hai mushkil

When you don't have love in your love ... when you don't have a friend in pain ... when you don't have a smile in your tears ... when you don't a voice in your words ... when your breaths are just breathing ... when the night sets in every day of yours ... when you only wait for time ... when you only remember that one person ... why am I a traveller when she's the destination for someone else ... my heartbeats have left me alone ... it's hard to live in love, it's hard to live in love) " I said my lines 

" Sau andheron mein bhi roshan ho, us haqeeqat ki talash hai ... teri dehleez pe chhod aaye, us mohabbat ki talash hai ... jhukne ki ibaadat ko toh samjhe jahaan walon ... katne pe joh haasil ho, us jannat ki talash hai

(I'm looking for that reality which shines even in extreme dark conditions ... I' looking for that love which I left at your doorsteps ... people of the world, try to understand the prayer when one bows down ... I'm looking for that heaven which you attain after death.)" he said the last line looking dead in my eyes 

" Agar baazi ishq ki baazi hai toh joh chahe laga lo ... dar kaisa ... agar jeet gaye toh kya kehna ... agar haare bhi toh baazi maat nahi

(If the bet is about love, then put whatever you want on the line ... why fear ... if you win, then nothing like it ... if you lose, then to you haven't lost the bet) " i added my own lines that weren't present in the script 

He looked a little shocked by that but he covered it soon. 

We both were looking at each other when the sound of clapping broke our glaring session. 

I looked down immediately understanding what I'm doing. 

"marvelous Kiaan, you were fantastic like as always but I must say Mehak isn't bad as well she is better than the girls who came to give audition. But still we have to keep on our audition." director sir said and my hopes crushed 

What was I thinking that I will be selected as a heroine that too with him? 

" She is the one Mohit uncle, she will be my new face that I'm going to launch via this movie. "kiaan sir said earning gasps from others 

" are you sure? "director sir asked and I also looked at him for confirmation 

" I never bluff around and you know that. "He said in a dominating voice that pass a shiver down 

" and you Ms. Mehak avasthi leave your jobs because from next Monday we are going to start shooting you will get the script of the film and dialogues. You have potential in yourself you just need a little more of dedication and confidence and you're good to go. Don't worry soon the whole film industry will know the name of Mehak Avasthi. "kiaan sir said and I can't believe it 

" the audition is done others can go back. "He said and the girls left muttering something maybe cursing me 

" you also can go Ms. Avasthi, "he said and I nodded 

" thank you so much for this opportunity sir I won't disappoint you that's my promise you give my dreams a chance and I will utilise it well. "I told him in one breath as I came out of my shocked state 

" I also hope it Ms. Mahek, "he said and left 

I just now want to go home and inform everyone about it. Finally my dream will be fulfilled. 

But little did I know that this chance will change my life permanently.
