I saw Alpha Daston eyes fogged meaning he was mind linking someone. Some seconds later the door burst open and two hefty warriors stepped inside . They grabbed me and injected wolfsbane into my system as I tried to break free from their grip. My father just kept staring at me.
Some time I wonder if he really is my father. The hatred seems rooted like something so deep and I can't even remember committing an extreme offense. There was supposed to be a familiar love but instead all I got was hatred.
It was useless struggling so I just watched them drag me into the dungeon, a place I know far too well for my own good. Their fun is just starting, at least I don't have to prepare for christabel's ceremony. Even death is better than living like this.
It's been three days since I have been there, I think. It's really hard to know the time when you haven't seen the sunlight. I have been tortured all this time. Apparently they can't offer me to the king without my consent, so they need me to "change my mind."
Like hell ya! That is going to happen, they can torture or kill me for all I care. I don't think they put it into consideration that I have a high tolerance for pain all due to the pain they've subjected me to all this years. In fact they have been doing just what they regularly do in every other situation before this, just added some whipping and cutting here and there.
It won't make me budge; I won't sell my body.
My cell is relatively small, just a tiny bed not even enough for two people to sleep in and a hole to do my business. According to them, I don't deserve anything good, so.... when they provide me with basic necessity it's simply because they want me to last longer. I haven't eaten anything since I was brought here not even a piece of bread, if it continues this way, I'm sure going to die. The only thing I have drank is wolfsbane, my throat is burnt as hell , interesting fact is my body is not supposed to react to it but it does as if it were a wolf.
My Dad is one, so maybe it's in the gene and that's why it react as even though I don't manifest a wolf.
My hair is in a complete mess, soaked in sweat, dirt, blood. I have a few broken bones especially my ribs as it seems to be the best fun part for them. I think they also broke my skull because blood keeps oozing out.
I'm in much more comfort as I could feel my life slowly drifting away. Finally I would be able to meet my mother and asked for forgiveness.
The only thing I regretted was not leaving the pack back then when I had the chance, keep telling myself that they were going to change , it was a stupid thought, " I know", but I believed it. I thought my father is going to change, start caring for me and even the entire would treat me differently but that didn't happen, I guess the Moon Goddess also hates me too.
I heard footsteps approaching the cell. Let me guess it's Alpha Daston again , he has been coming here every single day trying to change my mind and anytime I refuse to be a breeder, he bits the sh*t out of me. He has been one of the main reasons for most of my injuries; I guess he enjoys hurting me.
"Little Arya," christabel's voice rang across the room.
What the hell is she doing here? Isn't it enough that she's the one who instigated this whole drama.
"What do you want christabel?" Came to rejoice, I sneered.
I looked up and saw that sinister smile forming on her face ; she has always been been , enjoys seeing me and for what reason, I do not know ', she has everything she ever wanted.
"Ohhh! Sister, why are you so impatient? She clicks her tongue; I can see your all covered in dirt and blood but trust me the fun is just starting, her tone low yet magnetic. I'm going to destroy you because as long you are alive you'll always be a threat to I and Kory."
Is she delusional? She's the one that stole ' my mate,' not that I'm complaining.
Are you kidding me? I laughed. So You're the cause of my rejection and took my mate from me and now you want me gone, because I'm a threat to you? What have ever done to you? I never told anyone that I and Kory were mates , they all assumed his mates was dead and that's why he picked christabel.
Damn! Did I say that out loud she's going to beat the hell out of me.
"You took what was originally mine " she seethed.
"If you talking about Kory then....he was my mate first, I retorted. I should learn to keep my mouth shut it has always gotten me into trouble."
"Alpha Kory to you," she corrected. I wanted to laugh to show she was saying nonsense but I know how terrifying she could be. Not only that she wouldn't even come to me she would go to person I care about the most.
"Whatever, he was my mate first and you decided to break the bond which I accepted so there's really no need for you to fret over it , I'm not even interested anymore , I muttered.
" Liar, you have always wanted a mate , I bet when you discovered who it was , you thought your place would change, she snarled.
I whimpered softly because what she said was partly through, when I found out Kory was my beloved mate, I hoped things would change that the Moon Goddess has finally blessed me and I'll be able to prove my worth or change how my pack and his saw me but he proved me wrong. He chose his part and I choose mine.
"What do you want christabel?" I asked through gritted teeth. I know she didn't come all the way down here just to gloat at my predicament.
"I.....I know but I can feel it."The threaded light tugged at my heart vigorously, slowly I closed my eyes, the chips and crows became more distant blocking them entirely as I tried to listen to my heart beat. Soon I was in a clearing field of big trees surrounding me, yet where I stood, there was nothing. "Let me see you," I said softly. The threaded light made it's way from my heart to the clearing below. Its light went deep into it soon a tree began to grow out of it. Soon enough before me was a magnificent pine tree. Just then a distant sound dragged me out of my subconsciousness. "Arya, what is wrong? Did you see anything?" Linda asked."Yeah, it called me, I saw it but I don't know how to bring out front." I said."And where is the supposed pine tree is?" "Beneath this clearing," Linda eyes widened, her brow twitched while her face contour showed excitement. "Your blood," she half yelled." Ohhh," I uttered. Taking a small dagger o
The journey to Hollow Glen began before sunrise.Mist still clung to the valleys when Kaid and his small unit — Campbell , three sentinels, and two scouts — rode down the narrow pass. The forest that spread beyond was vast and eerily quiet, its trees older than the packs themselves. Their trunks bore deep claw marks — relics of wars fought long before Kaid’s time.Campbell rode beside him, his face hardened by sleepless nights. “They said the raiders came from this way,” he muttered, scanning the undergrowth. “But there’s something wrong here. The scent’s faded too quickly.”“It’s been washed,” Kaid replied. “Magic — old magic. I can feel it.”The Alpha’s voice carried low but firm, his senses sharp. Even injured from the border ambush, his presence burned steady, like a fire refusing to die. When they reached the clearing, the stench of ash and blood hung thick in the air. Half-buried beneath the soil was a ruin — stone pillars marked with ancient sigi
Arya povThe next morning came , sooner than I would love for it. I looked at my mate sleeping so soundly and my heart thugged for him. He hasn't been able to sleep like this for days. How I wish time would stop for a day.The council chamber of the Ironfang fortress was carved into the mountain itself, its walls etched with the history of the pack. Battles won. Alphas crowned. Blood oaths sealed. Yet tonight, the air inside felt heavy—not with reverence, but with unease."Good morning my love, kaid groggy voice sounded above my ears. I didn't even notice he was up already."" Morning, I whispered - my body leaning towards him, placing my forehead on his. " Kaid, I called staring into his eyes; always remember I love you, hmmm?" He nodded..."okay.""Are you having the Elders gathered in the council today?" I asked him.He simply replied"yes." And I could see his mind was a bit occupied.Soon after we stepped out to the council meeting.A sto
The silence that followed was absolute. Finally, Vael spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. “Then this is not war.”“No,” the Shadow Alpha said softly. “It’s remembrance.”He turned toward them, his golden eyes glowing brighter than the fire. “Gather the remnants of the eastern packs. Whisper to the feral clans. Tell them the time of the old blood is over. The Shadow rises again.”Mara bowed deeply. “And Kaid?”The Alpha’s gaze darkened, the temperature of the room seeming to drop. “Leave him to me. His wolf still dreams of the night he killed his father. I will remind him what he forgot.”He stepped back into the shadows, his form dissolving into mist, his voice echoing like a fading storm.“Let the Viyr remember who taught him how to bite.”When he was gone, the fire dimmed once more.Mara and Corren exchanged uneasy glances, their earlier anger cooled into dread.Vael looked into the embers and whispered, “The Shadow returns… and this t

The words hung heavy in the air. The guards shifted uneasily. Campbell looked between them, disbelief furrowing his brow. “That’s a myth,” he muttered. “A story told to scare pups.”But Kaid said nothing. He stared at Taren, his heartbeat pounding slow and deep. “And your master believes this… Shadow Alpha is real?”Taren nodded once. “He doesn’t just believe. He serves him.”Kaid stepped closer, lowering his voice. “Who is your master?”Silence......Taren’s gray eyes lifted, defiant again. “Kill me, and you’ll never know.”Campbell growled. “Alpha, let me break him.”" Hold on, Beta- be calm," I Interrupted giving kaid enough room to think.Kaid didn’t answer immediately. He studied the boy — the bruises, the burns, the blood crusted along his temple. Taren was young, barely past twenty. Brave, or foolish enough to pretend. Either way, he had resolve. And Kaid respected resolve. He moved to the iron table beside his chair and poured himself
