Freya's p.o.v

The damp stone floor felt cold on my skin and the blur view of him squatting right in front of me made my eyes slowly flutter open.

The usual stench of mold and decay had been keeping me company but the sun rays shinning through the high window into the dungeon undoubtedly suggested it's morning time.

It's been three good days since Lucien had left me here to rotten but it seems God clearly needed me alive. I could barely survive a minute in the darkness but here I am, three days later and still breathing.

Well all thanks to Kael!

He is one of Lucien's omega guarding the manor and I just couldn't understand why he would risk his own life to bring me extra food and water.

He helped me seat upright from the floor as my body was already starting to grow weak due to isolation, poor ventilation and sunlight.
