Rose's POV

I knew it was already getting late and the full moon would be approaching soon. I had been preparing for this moment for weeks, gathering all the necessary ingredients and practicing the ritual.

I couldn't afford to make any mistakes, for the consequences would be dire. I managed to pick myself up from my bed and move outside to perform the ritual. The sky was clear and the stars were shining brightly, but I knew that the peace of the night was about to be shattered by the howls of the wolves.

The ritual was a simple one, but it required absolute focus and concentration, no distraction from whosoever... I had to purify myself with water, and the best option I had was the small pond that was on the premises.
