A carriage arrived at the palace. It stopped along the steps that leads to the entrance of the palace. The king of Barklull had arrived! He was a man in his early thirties, who was of average height. Mr Gerald stepped out to see that the King had arrived. Taking in deep breaths, he walked towards the king. He gave a very deep bow.

"Your highness, this way please." They walked in and he led the king to the living room. "His highness wil be here shortly." He waved at two maids and they came forward quickly to serve him. Alexander and George, his assistant stepped in.

"Alexander, finally you have time to meet me. I thought you were avoiding me."

"And why would I avoid the king of Barklull?"

"Who knows?" The two men hugged. The two have been friends for years, though Carlos, the king of Barklull was older than he was, it made their friendship tighter.

"I understand, this war won't let you rest will it? I'm sorry about Edwin and for not making it to the funeral."
