ログインAurora's life became a mess, a total mess. Her life was perfect at first. A loving family, a happy home. Her life was simple and perfect. But the arrival of a letter was what caused her whole world to crumble, but in a way, started a new beginning for her. **** Her heart was beating loudly in her ears. Her breath coming out as small sighs. They were so close, noses slightly rubbing. She couldn't believe what was happening. She had tried to run away from him but she kept falling into his arms. His hazel coloured eyes watched her every move, a charming yet devilish grin plastered on his face. He had his arm over her head. "Your.." "Why do you try to run? Have you forgotten that you live under my roof?" He asked. She shivered when he ran his thumb on her cheek. "Please let me go" She pleaded. She felt light-headed because of his proximity. "How can I when I'm not even holding you." He asked with a smirk. Her expression pleased him. He leaned towards her ear and whispered; "You can hide all you want, but you'll always come back to me, both as a king and as a man."
もっと見るAurora walked through the dimly lit hallways of the castle. Torches flickered along the walls, casting shadows that danced across the cold stone floors. She had just informed Princess Ella that dinner was served, yet instead of returning to the kitchen, she found herself lingering, drawn toward the royal quarters.
Her eyes roamed over the paintings lining the corridor. One, in particular, held her attention—the portrait of the late king. He had been ruthless and cruel, as kings often were, yet his handsome features were undeniable. Those same features had been passed down to his children, she noted quietly. There were more paintings of people she couldn't recognize. Both makes and females. Maybe former kings and queens? She stared at each painting amazed at how delicately the paintings were created. The colour was mesmerizing. Her poor self could never get paints as expensive as these to use. The painter was definitely talented. Suddenly, a chill ran down her spine as she imagined their presence watching from the walls. A cold voice suddenly broke the silence. “What are you doing here?” Aurora froze, her heart hammering in her chest. Slowly, she turned, her eyes widening as they fell upon the king himself. Instinctively, she dropped her gaze, praying that he would not notice her trembling. “I asked, what are you doing here?” His tone had softened, but the intensity behind his gaze made her skin crawl. It was as if he could see every secret thought she tried to hide. “I apologize, Your Majesty. I simply got lost,” she spoke, voice barely audible. Her excuse was true enough—she had been foolishly distracted by the paintings—but fear tightened around her chest. The king’s piercing cold eyes swept over her from head to toe. “When did you arrive?” he asked, his voice low but frightening or was it all in her head? “Today, Your Majesty,” she whispered, keeping her eyes cast downward. “You shouldn’t be here. No one is allowed in the king’s quarters at this hour.” His words, though soft, sent shivers down her spine. Aurora realized too late how little she knew of this place’s dangers. He stepped closer, as if to intimidate her even more and she could feel the air shift around him. “A fragile being like you should be cautious,” he said, voice almost a warning. “Do not assume that the four walls of this castle make you safe—they do not.” Aurora dared a quick glance at him, and for the briefest instant, she saw the sharp perfection of his features. Her throat tightened, and she swallowed hard, heart hammering. His aura was beyond intimidating. She gave a small, curt bow. “Yes, Your majesty,” she whispered, relief washing over her as he turned. But even as his footsteps faded, he paused, commanding one final order: “Leave this place now!” Aurora needed no further urging. She hurried down the hallway, the torches’ flicker casting her elongated shadow against the walls. Behind her, the king watched as she scurried away like a scared mouse."Oh princess, this is horrible! I fear this will be the end of us.“ Said Vicky. Isabelle groaned and threw the covers off her body.“Exactly! Grandma and Grandpa are so mad. If they could, they would kick father out of here."“But that's not possible. Another war is upon us.““Vicky! Don't be so pessimistic. We will get out of this situation, even though I don't know how.““You just can't see the seriousness of this matter. The last war between these two sides was horrible. So many casualties occured on both sides. It was a war to be remembered.““I know, my brothers have told me. But I believe that this king Owen won't wage a war against his own daughter. That would be madness!""He is mad. I have people who live there. The kingdom is a hell hole. He rules them with an iron fist. He even cut ties with some kingdoms who helped with some productions. He's suffering the kingdom. But somehow, they've been surviving.“ "He sounds like he's mentally unstable. Maybe Gabriel was right.l, we
Isabelle glanced from her brothers to her father. He had an unreadable expression. Lauren hadn't said a word, she just stayed rooted on her seat, face still in her hands.“What happened?“ Darien asked. It was at that moment that the adults acknowledged their presence. Karla just let out a huff.“There's no point hiding it from them.“ Said Charles. He then loosened his tie. "Tell them what you did and the war you've plunged their home Into." He exclaimed.Isabelle wanted to say something but she decided against it. What could she even say? And she believed that her brothers could handle it. "What do we need to know?" Asked Gabriel with a curious look. Isabelle stared at him, slightly shocked. Were they going to pretend that they didn't already know?"Yes father, what do you want to tell us?" Added Darien. Darien's statement answered her question. "He won't talk, because he knows what he's done is wrong." Karla said. She was extremely angry and it bothered Isabelle. She immediately ra
After their reunion, they all headed back to the palace. Darien and Gabriel had caught three Stags. Isabelle knew that at one point her brothers got competitive. Habriel always wanted to prove that he was a better hunter than Darken, and Darien being the eldest wouldn't allow his younger brother to surpass him. But she just didn't know who got two Stags, to become the winner. When they finally arrived at the palace, Lauren alighted from her horse and immediately went inside without sparing the siblings a look. Darien then pulled his sister and brother inside.“So what happened?“ Darien asked his sister.“Nothing. We talked for a while and I went off to get the Antelope. She followed later on.““So in conclusion it didn't go as planned.“ Said Gabriel.“It was slightly alright. But I asked her about her family and she said that her parents were dead.““Lies, how long do they think they can keep this from us?“ Questioned Darien. He knew his father well, and he knew that he would do anyth
A stablesman Prepared four horses like Isabelle commanded, she rushed over to persuade her eldest brother.“Darien, why do you always have to be a sadist? Queen Lauren has already agreed, why can't you do the same?"“I would follow if you hadn't invited her. We only hunt with our family. She is not our mother Belle."“But she's father's wife and he would like for us to treat her as our mother.““She can never replace mother. Father has literally brought doom to our kingdom by marrying her."“I know, but I just want us to put aside our differences. And maybe Father will even…““What? That he'll become the caring father that he was before? That will never happen Belle. That all perished when mother died. And now that he has another wife, it's impossible." He said bitterly. Isabelle stared at her brother in shock.“It's not impossible! Father will realise that we are giving her a chance and that we respect him. He will change towards us.“ Isabelle stated with teary eyes. Ever since their
King Owen stormed into his room angrily. "Leave!“ He yelled at the maids. Instantly, they scurried out of the room. His brother must be lying. Lauren couldn't be smooth with that man. It was impossible! He knew his daughter better than that. His brother must be trying to trick him, trying to see his
When they got back to the palace, Isabelle was completely exhausted. But she could head to bed yet, she still had tons of work to do. ”You came back early?” Martha said in surprise when she saw Isabelle strolling the kitchen hallway with tons of bags. Martha collected a few from her."Thanks Martha.
”What else is on the list?” Scott asked. He was right beside Isabelle, of course maintaining the three feet rule. He was carrying at least four bags, and it seemed that they weren't even halfway done.”Let me see." She scanned the paper before looking up at Scott."Just a couple more.''She held two ba
Isabelle definitely didn't want to stay any longer in Devon. In fact, she doesn't even know what plan she was going to execute here. It's been over a month, and there has been nothing for her to do to help her brother. She was starting to think that her brother was right. It was foolish for her to c
