Kaelors POV We had two weeks to get ready for the Continental Summit. Fourteen days to defend my crown it did not feel like time. We had to explain a lot of things a war, a scandal, a noblewoman in prison and a forbidden ritual that almost killed me. It was a lot to handle. The Elder Lycan Council did not send invitations they sent judgments. “They have only met seven times in the hundred years " James said, reading the documents. Sabriel asked, "What were the other times?” James listed them on his fingers. “The Southern Purge, the Blackmoon Rebellion, the execution of the Iron King, the Fall of Velaris—” This was not comforting all. James continued, "No one has ever walked away from an Elder Summit unchanged.” That got everyones attention. Even my wolf was uneasy. The council chambers were really busy over the few days.
