Darius’ POV

“I’ll take it from here, gentlemen.”

They looked at each other. None of them dared to argue — not with me.

My family name carried more power than any of them could ever dream of.

With a silent nod, one of them handed the knife over. The boy exhaled,

relief written all over his face. I raised a brow, confused.

“Are you scared of blood, small boy?” I asked, stepping closer.

He smirked. “Small boy?”

“Yes,” I said, leaning in. “Are you not small?”

He rolled his eyes and muttered, “Thank you, guardian angel,” his tone dripping with sarcasm.

Before I could say anything again , he turned and walked off, quick,

like he couldn’t get away fast enough. Everyone’s eyes shifted to me. I could feel their stares burning through my skin , their curiosity. I smiled.

“He’s suffering from puberty,” I said flatly.

A few of them laughed under their breath, some just nodded and went back to work. The test ended not long after, and everyone went back to his chambers to rest . My head wasn’t in it anymore.

I went back to my chambers too . I knocked softly — no answer. Typical. I slowly opened the door .

He was there, lying on the bed like he’d been drained of life. Pale , completely gone from the world. I stood there for a second watching him. Then I sighed, went into the bathroom, and freshened up

When I came out, he was still asleep. I hit my boot against the floor, hard.

He jerked awake immediately, eyes wide in fear.

“Get up. Go freshen up. Dinner’s served,” I said, keeping my tone calm.

He dragged himself up, slow and lazy. When he tried walking past me, I caught his arm. He was light — too light for a guy. It made me frown a little.

“Go,” I said again, letting him go.

He nodded quickly and quickly entered the restroom. Took him an hour and a half to come back out dressed . I was already waiting, arms crossed.

“Why does a guy take that long to shower for dinner?” I asked, irritated.

“Because I’m neat,” he shot back, adjusting his collar.

I scoffed. “So what? You mean I’m dirty?”

He smirked again. “Thank God you said it yourself .”

We argued the entire way to the dining hall — nothing serious, just back-and-forth bickering that somehow didn’t annoy me as much as it should’ve.

When we got there, the place was packed. Every alpha from every influential family was present — tall, broad, loud, full of themselves. The noise they were making was too much . I noticed Liam’s discomfort right away. He wasn’t made for crowds like this.

I leaned close and said, “Come on. We’ll sit at the quiet side.”

He nodded , relief washing over his face. We sat apart from the noise . Just as we started eating, the Academy Council entered.

The atmosphere shifted immediately.

I stood, pulled a whistle from my neck chain, and blew it. The sharp sound cut through the hall, cutting every voice off in an instant. Silence. Total silence.

I sat down slowly, satisfied, watching everyone bow their heads in respect. The council walked in — robes, symbols, authority heavy in the air. We exchanged formal greetings.

Then one of them, the head councilman, stepped forward and raised his hand.

“Alphas,” he called, voice deep and commanding. “Listen up.”

The room went still again. Every head turned. Every chest lifted with anticipation.

The announcement we all have been waiting for….liam giving me a confused look while I smile at him

  • The masked Luna    – First Day Trouble

Selene's POVMy eyes were stung with a flash of light, and I growled, rolling over away from it. My peace was ruined. "Moon Goddess, come on?" I growled. I opened one eye slowly, hoping against hope to see some miracle—a flat chest, zits, maybe a beard. No such luck. My mom stood over by the window over near the far side of the room, smiling tightly as she opened the curtains."Good morning, my love," she gasped, I rubbed my face. "Mum, am I a boy?"Her eyes flew wide in shock. "What?""Nothing," I covered quickly, pushing her away. "Forget I said anything mum."She gave me a soft smile , and said nothing more.
