Olivia POV
The night was a little chilly and breezy as the sky was clear with sparkling stars that shine above our heads.
I couldn’t believe I was here now, walking alongside none other but Damon towards the bonfire.
I was surprised, to say the least when he came to my door and as he said to pick me up.
We joked and laughed as we walked, and I was surprised as to how easy it actually was to talk with him.
When he wanted, he could be a fun guy and a gentleman, and I liked that side of him, easy-going and relaxed, not the guy who was flirty and trying to rile Marcus up by provoking him with any gesture that popped on his head.
Olivia POV My eyes were wide as I sat there frozen in place. No… This can’t be… Why of all the people it had to be her? I inspected her closely as my eyes moved over her slowly. She was wearing tight black jeans and a loose shirt. Her hands caught my attention as I saw her buckle up her jeans. What?! She moved closer to Marcus as her arms wrapped around his neck, racking her fingers into his hair in an attempt to pull him down, closer to her while she stood on her tiptoes. My blood was boiling as my body started to shake in rage.
Olivia POV Damon held my hand as he led me through the forest, refusing to let me know where exactly we were going. He laughed every time I would ask him where he was taking me, and I couldn’t deny that his cheerful attitude and laughter was contagious. It was fun acting like two little kids who were hiding a secret and about to do something they weren’t supposed to. When we finally came to a stop, I saw a meadow covered with tall grass swaying in the gentle breeze. I couldn’t see clearly since it was dark, but I could just imagine how it looked during the day, covered in wildflowers and butterflies. I heard a noise from a little ways away, and I saw two wild rabbits playing in the grass. At the other end of the meadow, where the forest started, a little family of deer came to feast on wh
Marcus POV I stood frozen in place as I watched her eyes grow sad the moment she saw Samantha step out from the forest. At first, I was confused as to why she seemed so sad, but then it clicked—she thought something happened between Samantha and I since we both were coming out of the forest, me half naked and Samantha finishing getting dressed. Before I had any chance to explain, Olivia ran away. Shit… I reacted on instinct and started to run after her, but just before I reached her, I was stopped by a heavy body knocking me to the ground. Damon. I looked over at Olivia just as she entered the woods and disappear
Olivia POV As the weeks after the bonfire passed, our training and education increased. I barely saw James at all since he was working and training all the time with the rest of the future Alphas. Every time we ran laps around the field, I found myself slowing down so I could look towards the Alpha training site. Damon would always look up and smile and wave at us, making some girls in my group go all giddy and fan themselves. It was hilarious to watch. The funniest time was when he was in the middle of sparing with his partner and he waved at us while he held the guy with his other hand wrapped around his neck while the guy was trying to free himself. After that night ride a few weeks ago, Damon and I spent time together and grew closer. If Marcus even came near me, Damon would put himself in between us an
Olivia POV “Who did this to you?” I was startled as I hadn’t felt his presence approaching me until he spoke. Marcus was inspecting every scratch on my body. “Who did this to you?” he repeated with a growl. My mouth went dry and I was speechless. I couldn’t help but let my eyes wander over his body and notice his T-shirt clinging tightly to his body. “Olivia… Who did this to you?” he asked again, taking a step closer to me. “I-it’s nothing, just a few scratches,” I tried to say, but he put his hand under my chin and ran his thumb near the scratch on my cheek. “This is a little too deep for just nothing, so tell me who did this to you.” His face was close
Olivia POV It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, and I felt exhausted after my one-on-one training with Samantha. As soon as Lizzy calmed down, we walked back to our cabin in silence and got ready for the picnic. Damon, Zen, and Wyatt walked ahead of Lizzy, Annie, Mandy, and me, carrying picnic baskets and blankets. It felt like it took hours to walk to the spot where we were going to have the picnic. Finally, Damon, Zen, and Wyatt stopped. “Okay, ladies, now you all stay there and close your eyes,” Damon said with a charming smile on his face. All four of us crossed our arms over our chests and looked at them with an obvious question written on our faces. All three of them chuckled, then Damon said, “Oh,
Damon POV After a hard practice, I took a shower and went back to my cabin. I was drying my wet hair with a towel in only my shorts when the door of my cabin opened and inside came Heather, a girl from my pack. I paused in the middle of drying my hair. “Heather? What are you doing here?” “I missed you,” she said, closing the door behind her as she walked seductively towards me. I arched my eyebrow, and before I knew it, she was in front of me, caressing my bare chest and leaning her body into mine. Then she stood on her tiptoes and went for a kiss. I shook my head and grabbed a hold of her wrists to stop her, and calmly pushed her body away from mine.
Olivia POV It’s been weeks since the day that Damon kissed me. I wasn’t expecting it to happen and Aurora wasn’t too thrilled about it. Damon later admitted that he had wanted to kiss me to understand his emotions towards me better, and he was happy it cleared up everything between us. The only issue was that now Marcus had been avoiding me. Every time he saw me, he left, even when I was intentionally trying to talk to him. It hurt me to see the hurt, betrayal, and anger in his eyes each time he’d walk away. The only good that kiss brought was that it resolved where Damon and I stood with one another. The kiss felt like I was kissing a brother and definitely not comfortable at all, and even though it only lasted for a short moment, Damon said it was the same for him. He was sweet and has since treated me like I’m his little sister. Every time we hung out
