He opened the door as Marcus came and took my hand, “Come my love. We need to go.”
I blinked and walked ahead with him towards the door, feeling as this isn’t real, but the moment I walked through the door before Marcus, as he let me pass first, I smelled Damon’s familiar scent and without another thought, the realization of the situation being true, finally made me realize as I threw myself into Damon’s embrace.
He wrapped his arms around my waist and said, “Don’t worry, you both are getting out now.”
I looked up into his eyes, as a gentle smile graced his features, making me smile gratefully back at him.<
